Yeah, sure, and by the way thanks for voting! CC is winding down every day, it’s very sad... there are always new registered users but less votes.
We could think about something to keep people’s interests up or introduce DC contests to new users, maybe they like it but don’t know how it works or somehow feel intimidated to be a part of it. |

We could think about something to keep people’s interests up or introduce DC contests to new users, maybe they like it but don’t know how it works or somehow feel intimidated to be a part of it.
That’s actually quite a good idea. I was a little intimidated when I first started. Maybe this is something for the Chosen Ones to think about.

Yeah me too! You see a lot of contest posts and you go "gawd!! where do I start!" and then it happens that you never do... and maybe some people don’t even know that anyone can vote and review the dc’s.
IMHO i think the chosen ones are a kind of club and I find it excluding even for the old members, what say the new ones... maybe it wasn’t the idea but that’s how it seems. So I think the way to bring us all together a little more would be make an "introduct yourself" topic to start, so that the begginers would know where to put their first topic and we’d know where they come from, how is LOTR doing in they’re community and what they want from CC, and then post sticky topics about each forum and how it works.
I think this would be a good way to approach new users and join them with old users, with everybody being equal.
We could even have someone to be responsible for this integration, could be me and / or someone else. |

Yes, but the Chosen Ones also make a point of reviewing new poster’s DC’s for example.

I feel that the Chosen Ones should be involved, so I’ll see if I can raise it with the Aftokrator or in the Office to see if anyone wants to help you.

Actually it’s just a thought I’m not sure how exactly I’d help the boards...
You see, we’re just talking about something and the chosen ones have already been mentioned to take the lead of it ... I really don’t understand this, because it wasn’t an election or anything, it’s a club you created and you act like you’re olimpus or something and you have to decide how things are done around here...
you see, I have absolutely nothing against doing a little club for you, but when you try to make it look like you are in the lead of the boards it sounds very inapropiate. And by the way, I don’t think there have to be chosen ones for reviews to go up, and I think it’s a fact because not even the chosen ones are voting, only a few of them... so why not making posts and tell the whole community about how cool it is to be a part of contests and reviewing them?
No offense to you guys, it’s just my thoughts on this kind of atitude. Why don’t we just do something together instead of voting it on the chosen ones? |

I understand your thoughts entirely, but it’s also nice to have a group of people that should (in theory) review everything that happens on the boards and make sure people get replies etc. I’m not into masonic clubs either, but if it’s for the good of the CC community, I can live with it.

So, LK has agreed that he might be able to do this as part of a ’Looking after new members’ programme.
Does anyone else have any good ideas or wish to do it with him? |
