the second law of thermo states that in a closed system, a process must increase the disorder of the system in order for it to be spontaneous.

evolution does need a decrease in disorder, but what you don’t realize is that the earth is not a closed system. the process of evolution does not violate the second law of thermo, a decrease in disorder in one part of the universe will correspond to an even greater increase in disorder somewhere else in the universe.

as explained above, the theory of evolution does not violate the second law of thermo.

and seriously dude, the 99.85% of all biologists who reject creationism have undoubtedly taken a course on this subject. use some common sense.

I know plenty of Christian Biologists. I think that that is not the right percentage. Look at all the mutations that are happening now. Children without arms, legs, sight, the ability to hear or discern colors. You would probably say that a billion mutations to one evolution right? A creature that gets its genetic code changed just doesn’t happen.

So you are talking about the law that states, "No enery is ever lost; it only changes form?" But even within that law it always becomes a lesser form of energy. What’s your definition of a "closed" system? And even if you say that entrophy doesn’t effect evolution and all "improvments" are countered by "deprovements" somewhere else, doesn’t that make everything stay the same? would not that make no change?

Common sense? Does the world make sense? I am using my common sense, and it tells me that what you just said doesn’t make sense.

see if this helps you understand. In my AP chem class we talked about how some religious scientists try to use the second law of thermo to disprove evolution. the bottom line is, it doesn’t.

99.85% of biologists reject CREATIONISM. There are some christians who agree more with evolution and take the bible less literally than others, but still believe in a god etc. But my point is that nearly every single biologist rejects creationism and leans towards the theory of evolution because it’s ability to make testable predictions that are subsequently verified.

It’s sad when people have to resort to undermining scientists’ theories and findings by misusing laws of science in order to attempt to solidify their beliefs. Why not attempt to prove it for everyone instead of just "knowing" these beliefs are true?

But if the earth is not expanding then it is a closed system; therefore, it applies. In response to the last paragraph. If you saw something or someone that was using flawed ideas then would not you try to put up evidence and a counter in your view? How, explain to me in simple words how Biology verifies Evolution.

I’ve still got more to say.

the earth is NOT a closed system because energy is allowed to enter and leave. (e.g. the sun’s heat).

evolution is verified by biology through experiment. we have seen change take place in organisms. we have used the scientific method countless times with evolution. It is THE widly accepted theory in the scientific community on the origin of life.

ok, how do i know my God exists and others don’t?

first, the greek gods were created as myths, and stories,
God isn’t a myth, (you will ask how do you know?) that goes into the circle of all we have been talking about.
It is faith, there is evidence for Bible characters too.

Pilat was found on a document, different cities were found...

Noah’s ark: many people believe all the animals can’t fit on the ark. they don’t take into calculation babies could have been taken on the ark, and not adults.
plus, most species came from cross breeding.

it can be thrown back that:

well how do you know what these people are saying is true?

if we have "advanced to a higher being" why are we still pathetic?

another question:

how do you explain the happenings of a person dies, or should be dead, but revives? the doctors say it is impossible, and say it was God. (even athiest) how do you explain it?

interesting facts
1) the bible has not changed over history
2) other books like the koran and book of morman... have been re-writen several times...

some thing that hasn’t changed over history, (several thousand years) is most likely true, but things that have changed often have things added, or taken away.

the process leaves, grass, etc. do, to provid oxygen: (sorry, don’t know the exact spelling for it so i won’t try. Laughing )

if the world evolved, you would have to believe that this process wasn’t in existance, it hadn’t evolved yet. all living creatures need oxygen to live.
if the process of making oxygen hadn’t evolved completely, man would have died due to lack of oxygen, and all creatures would have died, leaving the world baren and empty. then why are we talking (or writing) now?

this in a way proves God’s existance and the creation process, because God set it all in motion, it wasn’t a process of a million years.

Now wait a second. Are you THAT crazy and psychotic, to STATE that YOUR God exists, and, let’s say, corvus’ (he IS greek after all Laughing ) DON’T?!? Who are YOU to say that? Your "God" is a myth as much as the greek ones were, fella, sorry to bust your bubble. Not that I care much, after all, I’m PROUD to be an atheist/taoist, so... All this thing about Noah’s Ark, and Gospels, and Miracles? Delusional nonsense, if you ask me...
I don't like YOU.

So what you are saying is the sun sent down beams of light and that created life? What experiments? What kind of change genetic or outward? Just because alot of people accept it doesn’t mean they are right, they might be smart but they don’t have to be right. What if you are looking at the secular scientific community and not at every one?

What are the chances of oxygen and life happening at the same time in correspondence to an "evolutional change?" Minescular. But if you believe the Earth is 4 billion years old it is an outside chance, but put into consideration that animals develop more than just a built in instinct and develop an emotional brain that can tell what is right and what is wrong and give them sadness and happyness. Animals just don’t have that.

Is there evidence that says that Zeus lived on Mt. Olumpus? does it have a direct historical evidence to other ancient texts. Are the Greek gods alive and active in the world we live in?
