i have some questions for you...

whats your religion?
whats your political affiliation?
what is your family’s financial situation?

just curious since it will contribute to my hypothesis...

as for me... I’m in college but i went to public elementary school and private school in middle and high...

Yes, physcosick is trying to invent a new stereotype: The "Homeschooled"

Thanks man, we really need another stereotype. Or a generalization of homeschooled people everywhere. Such a gift to society.

Anways, I’m public schooled.

My girlfriend is homeschooled. So watch how you generalize, physco. I’m not sure about here political affiliations, but she is christian, but not particularly rich. But I guess in the farmlands of Indiana it’s hard to be all that rich.

Anyways, back on topic (mostly) you might want to add Private Schools to the poll.

Home schooled. And I’ll take physcosick’s survey as well.

To conservative to be a Republican. But definitely not Libertarian (a.k.a: Anarchists).
what is your family’s financial situation?
Not that its any of your business. I’d say middle class.

Anyway, I think I can confirm part of your hypothesis.

Homeschoolers are Christian and Conservative.

However, your assertion that they are wealthy is by no means true. I know many homeschoolers who make very little money.

BTW, its college, not coladge.

ah... thank you

@Nbarden: my assertion about wealth ties into the demographics of public school and my experiences with both private schools and homeschooled kids. Obviously, rich kids go to private school more so then poor kids because poorer families can’t afford the 10,000+ a year. But public schools are positioned around a city or town and, atleast in my town, our not located new the best of areas. Now since schools get their money from taxes, the quality of the school is dependent on the houses around them. Thus, if the area is poor, the quality of the school wether it’d be text books, desks, ac, bathrooms, faculty, etc are also poor. So education obviously has something to do with money. It’s been like that since longer then I can remember. People who were rich were the ones who were in school and could read... the poor people couldn’t go to school. Then there was the time when the rich got a good education... but the poor kids had to drop out to work in the farms... or go into the coal mines... As of now, poorer kids tend to go to poorer public schools but the richer you are the better chances you have to get a good education and go to college.

so where does finances come into play with homeschooled kids? No where really... there’s just a relation present here. Whether you are rather wealthy or in the middle class. But to be fair... the middle class has been very skewed as of late and is very undefined. I just figured most of you guys on this site were financial well off... and so far there has not been one of you that is dirt poor.

I don’t think someone who’s dirt poor would be playing card games, physco.

But you do make a good point, I s’pose...
