Constitution of the the Chosen Ones
We, the members of the Chosen Ones, hereby agree to these standards in order to maintain our membership in this [prestigious] group.
We will review and [constructively] criticize deck designs posted in the Deck Clinics subforums.
We will read, review, and rate articles posted in the Strategy Article Contest forum.
We will [consistently] review dream cards in the Dream Cards forum.
We will vote in dream cards contests in the Dream Cards forum.

Amendment 1
A person shall not join the Chosen Ones if 2 or more current members vote against his joining.
A person shall not join the Chosen Ones if the current Aftokrator votes against his joining after his membership has been approved by the current members.
Amendment 2
The current Aftokrator may be removed from his office only by his resignation; or, by a 2/3 or greater vote against his remaining the Aftokrator.
Amendment 3
A member cannot vote on things pertaining to the Chosen Ones unless said member is a Varonos (Baron) or higher.

Thranduil has been accepted as a Chosen Ones member! Every member except for EL sent me an approval, and NB suggested a trial period. Since everyone else approved him right off the bat, though, he is now our newest member. Welcome, Thranduil!

It’s high time for some promotions, I think. And as acting Aftokrator, I get to give them out! 
Therefore, the following promotions are effective immediately:
elf lvr is hereby promoted to Archidoux (Archduke).
NBarden is hereby promoted to Pringkips-Eklektor (Prince-Elector).
lem0nhead has been perhaps the most faithful reviewer across the board over the last couple months. Therefore, he skips Doukas altogether and is hereby promoted to Pringkips (Prince).
Thranduil has also been a very, very faithful reviewer, despite being busy with school and various real-life issues. Therefore he also skips a level and is hereby promoted to Doukas (Duke).
You may note I left off sickofpalantirs. There is a reason for this, because SoP: I wish to invite you to fill in as Vice-Aftokrator until AP returns to reclaim his top post, if you accept.
I also warmly invite macheteman to rejoin at his previous rank of Komis (Earl/Count), if he so chooses. I know he has perhaps not been as active a reviewer as some, but I can see the effort and appreciate it. mm, you are happily welcomed back if you wish. Just let me know.
I will also seek to expand our roster a little over the next week or so, with some direct invitations to go out to a couple of our fellow forumers.
Congrats to all, and keep up the good reviewing!

With the return of our beloved founder AP, promotions have once again been handed out.
With AP’s return, the acting positions sickofpalantirs and I held are over. So while this may be viewed as a demotion, SoP is being returned to the regular ranks and actually recieves a promotion to Archidoux (Archduke). NBarden is also hereby promoted to the same rank of Archidoux.
Lem0nhead’s faithful reviewing means he is also hereby promoted, this time to Pringkips-Eklektor (Prince-Elector). Same for Thranduil, who is hereby promoted to Pringkips (Prince).
The invitation is still extended to macheteman to return to the full-time ranks, if he so chooses.
And now, as my last act as Aftokrator, I vacate the throne for our returned leader, Anonymous Prodigy, and return to being Vice Aftokrator.
Welcome back, AP, and congrats to all "promotees". Please update your signatures accordingly.  |

At the risk of becoming the most unpopular Vice-Aftokrator, I need to issue a warning to the members of the Chosen Ones.
The DC forum is languishing. If activity does not increase soon, we will have to begin awarding some demotions in rank.
Also, on another note, macheteman is invited to rejoin the Chosen Ones at his previous rank. All he must do is drop a note on the Chosen Ones office or PM one of the leaders.
The membership recruitment drive is still going. Active members can join at the rank of Varonos, pending approval of fellow Chosen Ones members.
Also, Felipe Musco is invited to join the ranks of the Chosen Ones at the rank of Pringkips for his outstanding reviewing on the Magic, The Gathering boards. The Chosen Ones would be honored to have such an outstanding reviewer in their ranks. |
