If you were a card designer in a world where every TV show, movie, or book had its own card game, which game would you get involved with?
And, once you got there (assuming the rules for the game were already made), what new mechanic would you add to the game?
In that world, I think I would work on a Firefly TCG, and I would make a set devoted to the Reavers and making them more competitive (because Alliance is too powerful in space and Serenity is great at scoring points). |
Riddle 9
When I came to Abraham I let him live just a moment longer. When I came to Moses I saved his life more than once. But the salmon... I regret to say I had a hand in its death.
Who am I? |

| Alien vs. Predator. I’m a huge fan of both franchises, and I have been for quite some time. I can’t wait until the day an AvP CCG/TCG comes out and doesn’t flop. 20th Century Fox briefly had one, but it flopped after 2 sets because a 70+ page rulebook didn’t quite cut it with most people. |
In his eyes was the look of a hunted beast seeking some gap in the ring of his enemies. |

Hmm...tough call here. LOTR’s already out there, so I’ll skip that one, just because I wanna do something fresh.
So I’ll say...Wheel of Time. Which has a CCG, it’s true, but it’s not very popular at all.
My new mechanic? Giving the Asha’man some stability, so that they can whup those snot-nosed Aes Sedai badly. |

LotR is so great, why make another game?
I’d love to see a TCG based on Frank Peretti’s The Oath, though. Awesome book. |

Is there a game about Wheel of Time? I read Menace’s topic and immediately thought of this book. Wow... |

Yeah, I know, but I’d still like to be a card designer for it. I mean, come on, it IS the greatest show of all time right? What other show with a fixed cast can say they have achieved 400 episodes? I’m a die-hard fan, I’ve seen every episode multiple times and already have tickets reserved for the movie. |
