I think this has been done before but not whilst ive been on the forums so i want to know. How much have you spent on LOTR TCG since youve been playing? Post how long youve been buying as well so we can see the proportion.

I have been playing/buying for 6 years roughly. I have bought 2 boxes of every set since MoM and some even 3 or 4, plus every start deck made. Plus ive collected all the promos which ive mainly had to buy off ebay for extortionate amounts. I reckon ive spent just over £2000. So anywhere around and above $4000. Which makes it around $700 a year.

If you vote please post so we know who you are and how long the money is over. Unless for some reason you wish to remain anonymous but i dont know where any of you live even if you do say >$5000!

Well, I have been playing for 6 years and before pretty much all my cards had been stolen I must have spent around £1500 at least. Getting to where I am at the moment must have cost me around £500 so I would say I have also roughly spent around £2000 ($4000).

How utterly depressing Sad

I play since the beginning too... I’m in the 2000 - 5000 dollars range Rolling Eyes with an average of 3k spent,,. including a ps2 and a dreamcast Very Happy Embarassed

Now that the game’s over I’m already checking how much is left for me to spend... I need to complete the collection from Bloodlines to Age’s End and get a few singles from RoS to Age’s End and I’m done. Then I think about getting all foil versions of my deck’s companions, but that’s just a crazy idea Very Happy

Not very much, actually. My first cards were a Theoden starter with various FOTR and TTT packs (a "gift set" sort of thing...that’s how I got started), then supplemented by a huge buy of Commons, Uncommons, with some nice rares (and a promo ATAR!), then a couple little lot buys for Raider and Gondor. All supplemented by around $40 or so from strategy articles...

$50. I got most of my good cards as gifts, and my friend gave me a Dwarf
Deck that was worth at least $100. It had a foil Blood runs Chill and a foil Ring of Rings as I can recall. Ah... Those were the good old days.

Yep, that’s my vote in the >$5000 range - been playing since the days of TTT, and LotR Online since Beta Open. Purchased multiple boxes of each set, have a complete collection of promos (jeez eBay is expensive when you’re obsessed), nearly a playset of everything else released (other than RoS and T&D - for now...), and pretty much the same for LotROnline too. I included the costs of travelling to and attending the various cons I went to the last couple years as well, though I think I’d still be voting the same without those costs.

Scary thing is, I’m not done yet - still need to finish those playsets after all!
