The rules are as they stand on the first page of the main assassin thread. The first five people to request to be a cop are the cops and they each get three black marks before they are off the force and are discredited for the rest of the round. I will strongly recommend that people that are not the cops refrain from any "citizen help". If I see that there is a significant amount of posting to solve clues in the forum, I’ll request that the thread gets cleaned up. Please carry on any "citizen help" through the PM channels. We don’t want this game over too quickly now do we?

The cops have been out in force recently making my job a lot harder than it really ought to be. After the capture of my predecessor the remaining police force was able to do some forensic analaysis on the hard drives of three of their fallen comrades and determine the IP address that the virus that killed them was sent from. This led to the discovery of his base of operations, usually a treasure trove of information and insight into the twisted mind of a killer, but in this case, strikingly spare. The only things that were discovered in the base were a computer automated to monitor the CobraCards message board Assassin thread, a framed cross-stitched saying and a news paper front page with the date September 12, 2007 and the headline:
"AMIR" Averts "Motto Code"
Password Disables Deadly Virus
The cross-stitched wall decoration didn’t seem to be of much use, but the police took it to the station any way to see if they could gain some insight into the twisted mind of a killer. The phrase on it, they noted sounded ominious:
"As three strands cannot be easily broken,
Three Arrows will prove deadly."
Unfortunately the police got there before I found out about the death of my former colleague so I didn’t have time to collect my personal belongings. Such a shame. I really hate it when my precursors are sloppy. |

uhhk, is it just me, or did the incognito say that the date was september 12, even though it is only the 11?
is it a clue purposfully but there, or, is is suggestiong that incognito has a timezone that is quite a bit in front of the eastern US time zone... it could be a hint...

Only one fairly insubstantial post since I last announced my next target? Hmmm time’s a wasting. I may have mercy on my target and give you poor police one additional day to figure out my target. At least I know one person is paying attention. Bunnydaman due to your initiative on this case you have moved to the bottom of my list of targets. Keep in mind though, it is a very short list  . |
