Okay, this is crazy. SoP has taken over temporary control of the Chosen Ones, and, as predicted, all hell has broken loose. Implementing his policy of martial law, SoP has declared a strict rule of participating in the DC forum, in DIRECT violation of the Chosen Ones Constitution which demands active participation in ONE of three forums, articles, decks, and DCs.
SoP must revoke his policy of martial law immediately, or be forced to abdicate and be banished henceforth from the Chosen Ones, a temporary Aftokrator being appointed in the absence of High Aftokrator Dain Ironfoot.
P.S. I’m dead serious about this one. |

The reason I did this is people are DYING for votes in the DC contest, calling upon the chosen ones, and too no avail. It doesn’t take long to vote, in fact in the time it took to post what you posted on this thread mm and NB you could’ve voted on any DC contest. As chosen ones we should be focused on reviewing and votin gin contests, not spamming in the members lounge. Granted I spam in the members lounge about as much as you guys, but I also Review almost every DC that comes out. Ask Lem0n, or Dain, or Thrain, who is more faithful at reviewing and voting me or mm? |

I have voted in DC contests. Not all of them, but I see nothing in there about voting in every DC contest.
What about Deck Clinics? Those are languishing. Its pretty near impossible to get any review in there (except by me).
By the power of a member of the Chosen Ones and in the capacity of my position as a Pringkips-Eklektor of the Chose Ones, I hereby declare that whereas Temporary Aftokrator sickofpalantirs has abused his power as Aftokrator by establishing his version of martial law on the forum known as Dream Cards, and has instituted cruel and unusual punishments for failure to comply to his standards of participation in DC contests, I hold that the power vested in you Chosen Ones is misplaced and demand immediate abdication of the role of Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones. In case of lack of voluntary compliance, the members of the Chosen Ones shall not hesitate to force compliance with said demands. |

Deck clinics are languishing...Have people called on the chosen ones there? have people posted on our thread about it?
We have had fellow chosen ones beseech us for votes, and only a few do. |

ENOUGH.
Holy crap, guys. Settle down, BOTH of you.
SoP makes a very good point about voting and activity in general, which I DO think has been down lately. (I can tell especially when I’m gone for a couple says at a time--which has happened more than once in the last few weeks--and come back to find less new posts than I expected.) HOWEVER, forcing people to do so upon pain of being "gone" and "kaput" is uncalled for...especially without sending me an e-mail or PM or SOME kind of notification first. 
Similarly, jumping on SoP and demanding his removal, AGAIN without messaging me in some fashion first, is just as uncalled for. I’m busy...I ain’t dead. There are ways to reach me, yet no one even TRIED.
On top of all that, we don’t need all the fancy-schmancy wording. Sheesh. 
Now, rather than creating another overreaction, I will simply ask--ONCE--that both of you simmer down, go back to your corners, and play nice until I get back. I’d rather just let this go based on both of your track records and what I like to think are our friendships, but if I come back again and see crap like this, then there will indeed be people removed from the Chosen Ones. I’d rather it not come to that, of course, and I don’t think it will need to. But don’t pull stuff like this, guys. We’re all in this together. Sheesh.
SoP: If you want to recommend new policies or such strict enforcement of current ones, then we can certainly talk about it. But I am Aftokrator now, whether physically here or not. In the future, short of members doing absolutely nothing to fulfill their duties and me disappearing without explanation and/or ways to contact me, wait until I’m back before taking such drastic action. Contact me BEFORE you lay down "the law" like this again, or I will find a new Vice Aftokrator. Keep the law when I’m not around...don’t make new ones.
NBarden: Again, if something like this happens again, come to me FIRST. Nine and a half times out of ten, things like this can be talked and reasoned out without immediately demanding the removal of a member, Vice Aftokrator or not. SoP may have had no right to demand what he did, but YOU had no right to go off like that without making even a basic effort to bring it to my attention.
Both of you: CHILL. I will be back full-time soon, and I don’t want to hear another peep about this except the proverbial shaking of hands until then. Got it? |
