One way or another, we have our 5 cops. Good.
As Lem0n locks the door of the police station, he hears an odd sound. He turns around, but sees nothing. He shrugs, and turns back to the door.
Now, pinned upon it, is a note, written in flowing gothic script. It seems to be a poem of some kind.
He rushes to the nearest tellephone to tell the others what he’s found.
The paper reads:
I cried into the broken night
So appeared to me a wand’ring wight
Save me from my deathly plight!
The Legend is on the wall, said she.
In the darkness of the crypt, I lay
It is to Azrael I pray
Bequeath to me the ken, I say.
His signature is on the wall, said he.
Finally, Truth appeared to me
I fall, myself, on bended knee
Look to the last, and then you’ll see.
The Answer on the wall will be.
It was signed: "The Angel of Death."
You have until tomorrow evening. |
