I think we had this thread around before, but yeah...
It’s a tough call, because I like these bands for different reasons, but my three favorites are Switchfoot, Jars of Clay, and Coheed and Cambria. It’s quite unusual, really. |

I’ve only heard songs from a few of those, (Blind Guardian, Within Temptation, Pinback, Alanis Morissette, Nirvana), but if you like those, you should check out Jars of Clay, DC Talk and Skillet.
Some other bands I like are Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch, Jars of Clay, Family Force 5, Hawk Nelson, Newsboys, Chasen, Seventh Day Slumber, Jeremy Camp (He’s really good. Lay Down My Pride, Let it Fade and Stay are his best), Todd Agnew, Superchic[k], BarlowGurl (don’t laugh), Casting Crowns, Third Day, Need To Breathe, Mercy Me, Plumb, Rush of Fools, Building 429, DC Talk and a bunch of others. |

I know those bands pretty well (Worlds Apart is my second-favorite song to sing at my youth group), but I try not to limit myself to just one genre. The more diverse I can drive my musical knowledge, the more of a complete musical picture I can create for myself. |

I’ve heard Blind Guardian, a sweet band. I just heard Nightfall in Middle-Earth tonight. Nice CD. One of my friends is obsessed with power metal.
m64 (and this is now my CoCa addict speaking...) which Coheed CDs have you listened to? Definitely, if you get the chance, listen to Second Stage Turbine Blade (although Devil in Jersey City has the F-bomb in the chorus...to give you fair warning). No World For Tomorrow is also excellent. |

I’ve listened to just about all their stuff, but I personally own In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth and both of the Good Apollo CDs.
They are good. |

I like everything except heavy metal, country, and opera. However, the lyrics are very important to me, hence, I only listen to CCM versions. |

| David Crowder Band. No one listens to him. But he’s pretty good. |
