Pretty old anime (well, "old" meaning a few years since its debut), but I’m getting sucked in again.
I just finished watching the entire first series - .hack//SIGN - tonight, and while enthralled during the last few episodes, a new card game based on the universe hit me. In the following ten minutes, I’d working out a tentative ’release schedule’ of products going through three LotR-style blocks. I’m working up some really - I think - innovative rules, too.
For instance, ever hear of a character in a game that *doesn’t* use some numerical value to represent his or her strengths and weaknesses? I’ve been trying to nail down an effective way of doing this with horrible results, and it finally came to me tonight (more on this some other time).
But until I get more done for this new card game, have you been sucked into the .hack universe before? Did you play the games, watch the shows, or... what? |
Riddle 9
When I came to Abraham I let him live just a moment longer. When I came to Moses I saved his life more than once. But the salmon... I regret to say I had a hand in its death.

Yeah, Decipher had a card game called .hack//ENEMY that was a really fun game until Decipher let escalation kill it.
I mean, the first two sets were fun, but the entire game degenerated into a power curve that made every card in a new set better than every card in the set before. Kind of pathetic... |
