Hey, just wondering if any other CobraCarders are on Shelfari.
Most of you probably don’t even know of it, but a friend of mine showed me the site awhile back, and it looked sorta neat. Like a Myspace or Facebook, except not as social-group oriented so much as book-review oriented.
Nothing that one would spend much time hanging out on, or anything, but I figured what with all the "intellectuals" and "writers" we’ve got on here, I was wondering if anyone else had an account.
As for neat stuff, you can ask the community for recommendations regarding a specific book, if there’s something you’ve been thinking about reading, but don’t know if it’d be worth your time, and you can get comments back from people who’ve read it, saying whether they think you’ll like it or not. And you can keep a digital bookshelf of books you’ve read/own/whatever, with ratings, reviews, etc., so you can get more informed recommendations.
And, of course, you can recommend stuff, too.
But, yeah. If you’re looking for a new Myspace or Facebook, don’t even bother checking it out; it’s not worth it. |

I don’t have one because reading hurts my eyes. |

Without respite my blood will flow
O’er your eyes ‘til they cannot see
The impossibility of victory.'
