Oh. There’s a brilliant solution.
Assuming they don’t just swim across anyways.... in the coastal areas, they’re already just using boats to sail around the fences. They’ll boat across this too. They already DO.
Fence won’t work, for a million reasons.
Virtual fence works fairly well... when the blasted thing isn’t getting set off by rain, wind, and tumbleweeds, or else locking up.
Throwing Blackwater on the border to gun them all down isn’t exactly ethical, but it might work, assuming we don’t mind going to war against Mexico again. As I recall, we bet ’em pretty badly last time.
I have yet to hear any suggestion that will actually work.
Seriously, though. What would probably help the most, is if our government actually had a clue what their own policies were. I become more cynical every day. For example, the US lets in about 100k people a year on unknown visa types. As in we (the government) don’t know what sorta documentation it is that they’re showing us, but it looks like it might be legit, so we let them in anyways. At least, that’s according to numbers from the Department of Homeland Security for 2001-2006.
Oh, BTW, NB, speakething of illegal immigration: I’ve PM’ed you about the last tournament. I dunno if you already knew this or not, but I figured you’d wanna know. |

yeah except are army is in iraq...so war wouldn’t be the smartest...we could just hand it over to texas though, they have enough guns

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

| Turrets. Any unauthorized "thing" would be shot with stun bullets or something. Infared could make sure it’s human. |

Yeah, see, we’re actually working on something like that. Problem is, even with the infrared, radar, visual ID, etc, it still gets set off by non-humans. And it locks up constantly.
That’s all without it tasering the targets, either; just monitoring them so that the guy behind the computer screen can direct the border patrol to the exact spot. |

Hack CC, get your e-mail, trace that back to a name and address....
Bingo.
If only I actually had the faintest clue how to do that. |

Hehe, making me feel safe, and then when I’m not expecting it, I will get hacked. |
