I have good intuition, but I’m no psychic (or warlock). If only I could get my intuition to kick in when playing LotR..... |

That sounds a lot like personal gain to me... |

| Well, I AM more of a lawyer, but I have other "talents" that help me a lot. Let’s leave it at that. |

Well my girlfriend says she has a psychic gift. She sometimes dreams of things to come, such as a new public park in her neighborhood, two car crashes, and a bombing in Iraq (her cousin was there). The flip side of course is that she has many dreams each night, and so coincidences wouldn’t be out of the question.
It’s rude for me, as an outsider, to make any kind of judgement to the nature of these things, because they are impossible to prove either way (since she doesn’t claim to know which ones will come true, or to know the future this way). She does say she could hone her ability to be able to do it more often, but until she starts predicting things I won’t assert any opinions of mine
On witchcraft and wizardry in general, however, I don’t believe in anything that says you can get any result that is disproportionate to the effort or value you put into it. Basically, I don’t like any books that give you "spells" whose only inputs are words from the book and something (expensive) from ye olde magick shoppe.
If there is magic, I hope it takes more than that. |

I absolutely agree with you, as usual, BB!
However, tell your girlfriend that she’s not alone, you just described my condition PERFECTLY, and YES, it IS possible to hone it. I can’t predict things, but do you know that dejà vu sensations you sometimes get during a conversation, as soon as it ends? Well, I’m now able to, sometimes (a lot, actually), recognize the conversation/situation as one I foresaw in dreams, so I CAN act accordingly. Mostly small thing, like avoiding to say something that bothered the person, or intercepting a pass or two when playing b-ball, but yes, it IS possible.
And I think it’s nice to know there ARE, after all, "others" (like your girlfriend)!
Thanks a lot for this valuable piece of info! |

I in no way pretend to be any of those things, but sometimes when I have dreams, I think "This is going to happen." In the morning, I always forget the dream. But no fewer than a few days later, in totally random (it seems) situations, I remember (finally) that I had dreamed what was going on a few days earlier, furthermore, whenever this happens, from what I remember of the dreams, the two events (dream and reality) are identical...
I’m mostly putting it all down to coincedence, though. |

| Sometimes, it is. Just plain coincidence. But when it happens like it did to me (I can tell you in details some other time), it just discards coincidence fresh out... |

Usually when I have a dream it is either classified as a really weird nightmare or other. Usually the "other"s have some relevance to future events... off the top of my head I have dreamt (and it came true in real life... the next day or within a week):
A friend getting into a car accident
A friend breaking his ribs from wrestling
My dog having worms
Another dog of mine dying
... I know there are a lot more can’t remember though
My dream last night had my sister’s boyfriend dead. But than later on it turns out that he was alive, just pronounced dead. I’ll get back to you if that comes true. |
