| Regarding the thing about me being leader...I’m fine with that, although I think I’ll have to delegate a lot of responsiblities to PW the Veep. I’ll be coming on less often through the school year. |

| Me and BtO have been posting on Felipe’s CC Gathering thread, and his ideas would be the perfect mold for our club. |

| Just go to Felipe’s CC Gathering thread in the MTG forums. I in no way claim these ideas as my own. I just think they are very good things. |

Here is a link http://lotrtcgdb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=1984 and the post Felip Musco wrote: So, here’s a briefing on this Group’s objective:
-Come up with better-written Articles (since, well, they ARE articles after all, so they should be well written, differently from a Deck List, which could just be a pile of cards) by submiting them in advance to other members for criticism after release (criticism should be over the article format/theme/main idea, cards/strategy suggestions should be left for AFTER it is released, unless a card fits PERFECTLY with the strategy/theme);
-Create a trading network, so we can sell/trade cards with each other more easily, and we may even try "third-party" trades (meaning getting a card someone else wants, if it’s easier in your area);
-Discuss tournament strategy more privately, so no one techs against our decks;
-Create a "helping" network for tournament play, meaning we will brainstorm on deck ideas (if the requesting member is ok with that), rather than just tweaking a set deck, AND, of course, tweak a deck after it’s ready so it gets better quicker;
-Expand the "helping" network, actually lending cards (of course, members would offer to do it if they see fit, it’s not a demand), if trading/purchasing is not an option;
-TEAR APART every tournament we get in, claiming to be a part of the Cobra Card’s Gathering, from the Cobra Cards Player Community, attracting more and more members here! ;
-If we can get some more members online, or if we really start to kick some arse in the tournaments, make T-shirts of the club!
And that’s about it. If anyone want’s to expand on that, feel free to, and if new members want, just PM me so I can discuss membership with other members!
I would really like the CC Council to become like this. Does anyone know how to host their own website or something like Conforums.com?
SOme of the ideas may not work but some are pretty good. |

Hey guys, just dropping in to make a few comments...
Since you’ve got a nice discussion going about creating a group "mission statement" and seem to be on more or less the same page, CC Council is off the "watch list" and will stay.
I’d like to see a new name to better reflect the group’s purpose -- perhaps something like "LOTR Council" since it’s a group for LOTR players.
Regarding a group forum, I am very interested in having productive users with a common interest get together for discussions and an added sense of community. But I’m not at all interested in having those users segregate themselves! This is the reason that I will not add new forums lightly. |

| Ummm, just wondering, wasn’t the Council in CC Council originally a spin off of the Council of Elrond? So cobra, it sort of reflects LOTR, although I don’t think people would get that first off... |

| I think it was a spin-off of The White Council, so yes, it is an LOTR name. |
