OK i will explain the magnetic theory again.
the core is constantly losing electricity. The energy needed to maintain it from creation till now would have exploded the earth unless the earth is less then 10,000 years old and thus hasn’t lost as much electricity as if it were 100,000,000 years old
You’re debunking every bit of scientific evidence discovered about our past and you’re calling this a bunch of B.S.?
Now that you’ve explained the magnetism theory, here’s this. The magnetic poles of the earth switch every ice age. Perhaps what is measured changes based on the pole changing. If you look it up, the north pole and the magnetic north pole are different. Perhaps that’s just changing, instead of blowing up the earth?
Maybe there’s some sort of field generator in there, and it’s self maintaining (people would have said the sun was impossible, too, to keep that energy going, yet I believe that hasn’t gone boom yet) |

Christianity identifies recognizes that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, the Messiah who will deliver His people, the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy. Judaism does not recognize Christ as the messiah and is still awaiting their savior from elsewhere. Just because they have a similar belief structure and use much of the same literature not all religions are the same. Islam has very little to do with either Christianity or Judaism other than that they all recognize the Torah and lineage from Abraham.
Christianity’s faith is that Jesus Christ was the perfect Son of God, who was born of a Virgin, lived a perfect life and died on a cross and rose again to take the punishment for our sins (things we do that go against God’s character) and that his death on our behalf is the only way we can have a right relationship with God. The simplest form is found in 1Corinthians 15:3-4.
I like a lot of how you phrase things, but define sect. A sect is "a group regarded as heretical or as deviating from a generally accepted religious tradition." as dictionary.com tells us.
Now, I’m going to have to admit that Christianity is far larger than Judaism, and saying it’s a sect is not meant to be demeaning- I’m just saying that back in the day, they were the same, until a single event made a split.
Why do think it’s called Judeo-Christian not Muslimo-Christian? |

Corvus,
yes God’s days ae not the same as ours but don’t you think we would put it in the bible as a concept we could understand? Also if they were more then a day things would have started to die because no animals/insects to pollinate things and plants can’t live for a million yrs.
God’s Days? God is not even bound to time, He is eternal(meaning no beginning or end)...So time does not restrict him. |

IMO, Cobra was right to try and remove religious discussion from the forums.
In the end, it comes down to what you believe, and if you really believe it, its more than likely that no one will change your oppinion.
Personally, I will not post any more on religiously-oriented threads, just because I don’t want to stir up unendable arguements. |

I say it relates because if the universe IS infinate, or at least absurdly vast, or perhaps one of many universes, there is likely to be space aliens.
Apparently, none of the religious people here think there can be more than one universe or life sustaining planet because they seem to believe it’s against their religion. It kind of relates |

Like I said before:
"To first understand life on other planets, you must first understand our own origins."
But no one ever said it was against there religion. Not once did we ever say there was a string of events that have a possibility of happening an infinite ammount time, in an infinite space, and there is not a God. We never said that. Much like evolution does not state that men were created from the evolution of different species and this was a purely natural event that had no God overseeing it. Perhaps some Evolutionists believe that but the theory itself and most Evolutionists do not claim that there is no God. So it isn’t against their beliefs, it’s just against a story.
I had a freshmen religion class in High School where the teacher taught everything from a Historical perspective. I could go on and on about so much stuff here, explaining all the stories and even telling stuff about Jesus’s life. But, that’d take me a lot of writing and it wouldn’t get us any where because all of the religious people on here will just turn their cheeck and say I was lying (believe me it’s happened plenty of times). But that teacher was a lovely woman who just wanted her students to know the truth about the Bible... but the Priest in charge of our school and the Principle did not approve of her teachings because it went against what they wanted to do... just a case of silencing the truth. She had been teaching for 40 years at a very prestigious private catholic school around here but decided to go to my school until she was fired... then she went back to the old school... teaching the same material.
But I’m not trying to change anyone’s faith here. I’ve gotten into plenty of religious debates with people and they usually end with me dving deep into my past for an example. But I won’t go to much into it. Just know growing up as a kid I was really religious, I prayed a couple times a day, i went to CCD church as much as I could, i said the rosary every night before sleeping... it was a way to escape from my problems that haunted me on a daily basis... but my prblems never went away no matter how much I prayed to this loving God... one day I just opened up my eyes and realized no one was listening... no one was going to help. So you guys have your religion and it works for you. I had my religion but I got nothing out of it. Perhaps you guys don’t really understand my circumstance and you could say useless stuff similar to the footsteps in the sand but it won’t mean anything. I know what it feels like to be alone, I know what it feels like to not have anyone listening to you. But maybe there is a God but he doesn’t deserve my faith, he had it... but he took it for granted.
I’m not going to respond to anything about my past or my own beliefs.
I was trying to figure out everyone’s religious beliefs and political stance and compare that to the game they play. I could tell from the most part that the LoTR guys seemed more conservative and Magic players have a history of being democrat... perhaps it has something to do with the high numbers of pot heads who play magic? most of them being liberal? idk... but Felipe kind of screwed up the Magic democrats (no offense)... but to be fair he does play LoTR, too.... |

Celimbrimbor don’t even bother. I have read books and everything about evolution i have read has some argument against it that works out.
Wait what are you saying LSG?
PM me about this and try to make sense. M_H is right we shouldn’t be clogging up this thread.
EL has a point I know what I believe and nothing(at least I hope) can make me deviate. My whole point is trying to prove things to other people.
I just don’t think that it is a likelihood because Hazael seems pretty scientific(and not that religious and he showed evidence that it is unscientific. SO if the universe isn’t infinite...
I decided on a new quote about political stance.
I am not a republican or a democrat I am a Christian.
PSS yeah you didn’t say there was no God. BUT you did say there were probably multiple Gods multiple God’s sons and that everything we believed is pish-posh. If you don’t think people will react to that, go to a muslim country walk into a mosque and say "Mohammed was an unholy, uneducated person" and see what happens. |
