Do you think space aliens really exist?

Definitely. Every ten years I have those strange circle marks in my corn field.

According to evolution, humans did not evolve from monkeys. This is just a common misunderstanding. Some ape group, I can’t remember the name, was situated in two different regions of the world. One group evolved into the primate we see today and the other evolved into what we see as humans. Call it a fork of evolution Smile

If you think life has no purpose without a god, I just don’t know what to say. I have found my passion in physics and plan to pursue the field as a career. I believe it’s up to the individual to create one’s own purpose.

so, if we are just a side of the fork that developed differently than the primates, then cannablism would have to be justified.

yeah then if theres no God why shouldn’t we just run around killing people if we found it gave us purpose what if I though my purpose was to kill people?

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. Razz

Because we have laws that keep us in order. You forget that there have been way more murders in the name of religion than not.

Our society is based on trust. There is really nothing stopping a kid bring a gun to school and killing classmates except the psychological boundaries set by our trust system. You can live freely and do as you please as long as you follow the law and don’t impinge on others’ lives.

Well, some people do. As I said above, there is nothing physical, except perhaps the police, stopping someone from pulling out a machine gun in the middle of a shopping mall. It’s a sad reality, and I hate to think of these awful possibilities, but it does happen.

what i mean is, you can’t say that killing people is wrong if we are just differently evolved organisms. if evelution was true, killing a monkey and killing a human aren’t different.

and which religion has been most responsible for these murders?
personally I don’t think it is Christianity.

Are you kidding me?

Killing a monkey and killing a human being is biologically the same thing: ending an organisms life.

I can say that kiiling people is wrong. I am morally against killing people, not because of religion, but because I find it morally unacceptable to consciously end an animal’s life in an act of murder. You’ll find this same view in the majority of all humans, regardless of religious affiliation. It’s degrading for you to claim that disbelief in god corresponds to a violent nature.

however, a monkey has no soul, and it is qualified differently than a human with a soul.

why is man not evolving any more? (except towards wars, Chirstianity tells why, where evolution doesn’t. it says man is getting better.)

however, you get that moral unconciousness from the Holy Spirit, and it is based off the Bible which tells what is right and wrong, so you are going off the Bible in your belief, because the laws stemed from the Bible.

you found your passion, but purpose is far from that. what were you made to do with your life? how are you going to live it? i am passionate about things, but they don’t decide my fate in life.

I’m not at all certain that evolution is correct. It has withstood countless experiments and therefore I think scientists are on the right track regarding the origin of life.

On the topic of a monkey’s soul. There is no proof of a soul, just as there is no proof of a god. Prove your premise and maybe you’ll get somewhere in your argument.

Once again you assume god exists here. And just because my views on killing agree with those in the bible does not mean my views are based off the bible. For instance, I am opposed to violence and stealing, but I am not at all opposed to pre-marital sex, homosexuality and abortion.
