Indeed.
To answer the last question, my family has this weird/rare genetic disorder (yes, that makes us mutants) that affects skin connectivity. It’s called
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), and my variant is Type III.
Now, what all that comes down to is, A) I’m super-hyper flexible, and, B) my skin sucks. One day I woke up for school and - as usual - went into the kitchen without a shirt on. My mom screamed when she saw my back... it looked like I’d been whipped during the night!
I had six or seven horizontal scar-streaks running across my lower-middle back. I couldn’t feel them, but boy did it have us all confused for a while!
(Others claim it was the ghosts in our house; I disagree)
