Once again you assume god exists.
But, another note, it is almost hilarious as a non-believer to listen to this claim:
---It doesn’t matter if you’re good or bad. All that matters is whether or not you accept jesus as your savior.
So, ummm, does anyone else see the complete brainwash in this institution? If you don’t believe this, you get to spend an eternity burning away (ouch, I imagine one’s nerves are really sensitive to flame once one is DEAD). Judgement is based not on morality, but belief? And to top it all off, this belief must be reached by an irrational thought process? Doesn’t exactly sound like god is that smart to me.....If god existed and wanted to be accepted, why not reveal himself and prove it instead of take scorn from a significant number of his "creations." And when I say scorn god here I mean the mocking of the idea of god, not god himself. I don’t believe god exists, but I regretfully see that the idea of god has gone far enough.
Eternal life if you do accept this bloke (who I doubt even existed) as your savior in life on a purely irrational trust called faith. Sounds like a great control mechanism to me. I encourage you guys to open your eyes. |

I think you also need to deferentiate between the mainstream, not so smart, Christian, and those that have a true relationship and those who have an understanding of texts, both of their religion and others.
Now saying "it doesnt matter if youre good or bad" is perposterous. One most first accept Christ as their savior and then turn from sin, and repent always and admit to the fact that they are a sinner, for we all are sinners.
You will find a great difference between the mainstream Christian, mostly Catholics, and those who trully understand who are far different. |

Works will come with faith. if there are no works your faith is dead. but works alone will not help you.

Your arguments are actual irrelevant unless you can prove your premise of god existing. It hasn’t happened in all of humanity, good luck on your endeavor.  |

What I implied was... if you know Jesus as your Savior then you won’t WANT to do bad things. I didn’t know the Bible promoted drug and alcohol use, it is said in the Bible, "you may do it, I may not," true those were the words of Paul and not of Jesus, but still. If the Bible doesn’t directly condemn something look at this verse, Paul said somewhere else that if something hurts your faith or the faith of other then do not do it.
If I don’t learn from the Bible then how do I learn from God. I think of it as Jesus just doesn’t want to repeat it to everyone on the earth because that’s what preachers do, and it’s up to them to take the "good stuff" out of the Bible.
What’s your definition of irrational? is it not knowing 100%? if it is you are right, but it takes faith to even walk down the street because who knows what’s going to happen along the way. Would you trust you life to anyone else than the God who created the world and sent his son? would you trust a mortal or even the Devil with your life. NOT AT ALL.
It was Benjiman Franklin’s idea that judgement is based on being a good person. let’s think of it this way. Judgement is based on belief. blessing in heaven if you believe in it are base of works.

ok, here we go again. to start with i encourage you to open your eyes.
1) there is not enough proof for evolution, it is just like christianity in the faith aspect.
2) you can prove God’s existence by looking at the trees, and what goes on in them, what goes on in the human body...
3) which will follow you most? the ones who believe in you and follow you even though they don’t see you, but you reveal yourself to them gradually,
(which is what God does.)
or the ones who only follow a person only on site, and the moment you go they disapper.
It is faith, God wants the people who go on following Him blindly. Jesus rebuked Thomas for wanting proof of God’s resurection.
what sounds like a great way to control is, tell these people they are free to do what they want, so the person who came up with this will feel better to do the evil things.
another thing, purgatory is not mentioned in the Bible.
God doesn’t cause division, satan does, and man kind does. ok the comparison between God and santa isn’t that great. interesting, but not the greatest.
ok "back then" people were smart enough to believe in God, now the world is confused and trying to make things look like we should live to please ourselves. |
