who came up with the process of rain, and set in motion? God it is something to huge to evolve.
the greek "gods" are dead, where my God is alive and well and will not die. A "god" can’t die.
going on "proof" why are we still living?
we have no "proof" of our next breath until it happens.
There is no "proof" of evolution, just a bunch of athiest who say something, and then are proven wrong.
if you want "proof" of God, wait until judgement day, but i wish and pray you will be on God’s side, and not against Him.
My parents haven’t forced their beliefs on me.
If it helps, i can tell you how my life has changed. I can feel God’s presence in my life, and have been changed by it. The little uncomfortable fealing in our body is another type of proof. it is the Holy Spirit telling a person what is good and bad. |

MikeAD wrote: I still don’t understand why in a debate over evolution and creation we are only discussing the possiblity of God’s existence.
Thats not the point, Evolution could exist with or without God, God could exist with or without evolution.
All this is restating "im a christian" and "no im an athiest"
Big deal, how does that proove is disproove anything?
Discuss the issue at hand.
But if any one of these, The complete and total truth of the Bible, the admitance that the universe is just too complex to be made by chance, if even one of these were known to be totally true by the entire earth then one would be a fool not to believe in the God who reigns with love and justice.
What LC911 I believe you are talking about is Unitarianism, and that is a hypocritical group that is not put at the same level as evangelical Christians. Tell me, would you listen to the Quoran telling you "Allah is god and Mohamman is his messanger", and Buddists saying, "If you are good you will reach Niranva," Or Christianity with Jesus saying,"I am the way, the truth, and the light, no one will come to the father exept through me." Do Unitarians just skip all those texts when they look at them?
God is gradually becoming useless?! That is a self-contradicting statement which implies that you don’t know how much you rely on Jesus if you think that his benefits to you are diminishing. I think that is just your opinion.

What I have done is looked at different religions and realized that any two of them cannot simultaneously both be correct.
When I say god’s uses are diminishing I mean the idea of god as an explanation for the unexplainable is diminishing because science and technology have been able to give testable explanations for some parts of the universe that were previously unexplainable. Wow, long sentence...

Who says someone did it? I honestly don’t know how the universe we see today started, if it did start. I’m actually devoting my life to researching this topic because I yearn so badly for the answer.
Quote: he greek "gods" are dead, where my God is alive and well and will not die. A "god" can’t die.
How did the greek gods die? Why would they be dead if they once existed? Did they never exist? And does your god exist now? (please provide proof when you answer yes to this last question)

Actually there is plenty of tested evidence for evolution. Please don’t resort to slander in this argument.

I’m glad to hear that.

What about the polytheist who "feels’ the strength of six different gods rushing through him at all times. How is he wrong and you right? Because you can’t both be correct. |

| Some good sites for mental chew is Answers in Genesis and the Insitute for Creation Research. That’s where I get most of my information. Who would of set the universe in motion? How did The Creator God become an intelligent being? When will the Earth and humanity as we know it end? why is anything around because that is at a direct contradiction to the second law of Thermodynamics which say. All energy in the known universe is in a state of decline. There is nowhere that is excluded as we know it. Why are Humans intelligent and have a highly developed mental and emotion capacities. Only God the father knows the answer to all these questions and we have to use faith that he will do what’s right in the end. |

There was an atheist on the colbert report that made a good point in an interview. He mentioned all of these different God’s like Zeus, etc and asked Colbert if he believed in them to which he responded something along the lines of "no, of course not, because they’re not real" and then the guy said "well, so your atheist towards those gods. I’m atheist against them too, the opnly difference is I take it one God further."
So if you went upto those previous humans and tried to claim that they were wrong and it was just one god, you’d prolly be killed. Because they were convinced they were right... but I guess if something says "I am the truth" then it must be true! |

That arguement has a few flaws. For one, The word Athesist I believe means, "No God." so that would be the wrong wording. If someone were to say, "I’m an Atheist." That doesn’t show that they are part of one religion as opposed to another. That is a specific group.
I think that there is alot more evidence for Jesus as the Savior then Zeus as a "god." I think that other religions than Christianity are founded just so people will think, "Oh yeah, I have a purpose in life because I worship a god." But they alter that "god" to whatever they want. The Romans justified their violent practicies by saying it was required.
Now you and I know that the world is not truthful or all knowing, so we will just have to take someone else’s word for it. Now would you trust an unpoven theory or another theory that fits your whims or another one that says Jesus is the truth and is backed up by a whole lot more evidence than any other idea running. I know you will disagree about the evidence thing with me so Check out and compare a Creation website and a evolution website and compare then and cross check them with as many sites as you can and then eventually go to all the places around the world and as creationist and evolutionist for their opinions and then draw up your conclusion after finding out everything in the world that there is to know. Then I would bet I would know what you would find...

ok LC911, on the topic of the greek god’s, i was talking on what you were saying. I in no way shape or form believe in those pitiful "gods". I read a book on greek myths, and it said, (and i quote) "and like all things, they must die, and so it was with the greek gods."
ok as far as proof goes for the last answer, i go on what the Bible says, just like others go on what their text books say about evolution.
The Bible says that on the third day after His death, Christ rose from the dead, breaking the power of death.
this is told by the diciples in the gosples and in Acts. there were more than 20 witnesses that saw it.
they believe (scientist) have found the empty tomb where they believe Christ was. (that i am not sure of though. )
and they also have found Noah’s ark up on mt. arrat. (that raises a good question for those who don’t believe in the flood. how did it get up there? it is frozen in the ice.)
in the answer to where did the universe come from, God created it, and shaped it into being.
in as much as i believe in God, I believe in demons and satan, and angels as well. though they don’t supply salvation, the angles and demons fight for the souls of man. that is how you can feal the presence of what a person calls six gods rushing through them. It is the power of many wars. (or it is the power of God in a great amount. I don’t know which. )
P.S. i am sorry, i did not mean for it to sound like slander.
P.S.S please show me some proof of evolution. |

you kind of just avoided my question. i don’t care which god(s) you believe in, as I’ve demonstrated your belief is irrelevant. what i want to know is why your god "exists" and the greek gods don’t.
There is a stark difference between the bible and evolution textbooks. One provides testable evidence, the other does not. Would you like to know how many biologists (the people in this world experimenting with life) believe in creationism? A pathetic 0.15% of them.
The Bible says that’s what happened. That’s not proof.
For Noah’s arc....people claim to have found a boat. That’s also not proof. I would like to ask you how a couple million species happened to fit in a large wooden boat. And please don’t tell me "god did it."
The term atheist refers not to someone’s belief in god not existing, but rather the absence of a positive belief in god. As an atheist, I don’t believe that god can’t exist, I simply don’t believe that a god exists.
Finglofin, please refrain from using god’s existence in your arguments. I’m still waiting for your proof. |

well, if you are asking for something like God’s toenail clipping or another direct evidence. There is none. However; there is very strong evidence that the world was created by an outside force. I believe as I said before. With the law of Entropy. It directly says. Everything in the Universe is loosing enery. Therefore; Evolution doesn’t exist because even the word Evolution means progression. Tell me, What is the evidence that implies that the Greek Gods or Allah or any other belief? Do they have hundreds of propheses in their holy books that came true?
I believe that everything I have mentioned implies that Jesus exists and is powerful. As a Astrophisis once said, " Creation cries out for a creator."
