NB’s reasoning is logical.
I will give SoP time to carry out what measures he sees fit to rectify the situation. If none are carried out, then I shall act swiftly, namely punishing SoP. |

Have you ever heard of something called negative connotations?
That flag has been used repeatedly by racist and ugly groups that support backward and racist ideas.
BtO is right about this, do you realize what people woudl think from outside this website, if they saw a group called "The Chosen ones" with the confederate flag as an insignia? personally if i saw it, I would turn tail and run. |

I would not vote for the Confederate flag as our symbol.
BtO was right, in a sense, even though the flag may not be a bad thing in itself, and it does indeed stand for some very good things, it does have negative connotations to some people.
Besides, it’s a flag representing the states of the South of the United States. Surely you don’t think all of the Chosen Ones are represented by that flag?
We should have a symbol that reflects our group, not anything else. |

I would agree with that too. But we need to show some basic manners in HOW we say things to other people, even when we’re seeing red. The Confederacy is a very delicate issue, one which I personally take lightly but am smart enough to know that many people DON’T and thus don’t want to touch it with a 21½ foot pole.
It was a bad idea to even suggest such a thing, and a bad idea to then attack anyone who thought suggesting it was a GOOD idea. So several people are guilty in this, whether intentionally or not.
Let’s just take a step back, EVERYONE, and keep this in perspective before we kill each other, huh? We’re all friends here, right? No harm intended, I’m sure, so let’s keep it from CAUSING any more harm. |

I know. I was just kidding. Humor is the best medicine, I have found...especially for stressful situations. |
