But anyway, threaten a lawsuit. That should shape them up. If they’ve been stealing, call the cops! You’re to nice, and that hurts you. Sometimes you gotta be mean.
Hey, NBarden, we should talk more, then, as I’m about to graduate from Law School, and I already work as a lawyer for the Community! 
Anyway, never "threat" a lawsuit, that gives them time to hide assets, threaten you back, or do other nasty stuff. If you decide to actually sue them, ask for the money warning it’s "the last time", and nothing else. Then, if they don’t pay, go ahead and do it. They won’t have time to work up a defense, and that helps you pretty good. They’ll ALSO be so damn frightened, they’ll probably end up working out a deal with you, and unless they’re real assholes they’ll never do that again to someone. But hey, that’s just MY opinion, at least, what works best ’round here. It’s your call, in the end, since I’m not your lawyer.  |
