If 168 minutes is insane, then what is LotR?
Good enough to be worth it. |

Spiderman 3 was horrible in every way. If your watching it for Venom just wait for the DVD. It’s so not worth paying for. |

But why waste your time figuring out that a movie is bad?
I only see a movie in theatres if the trailer looks really good, or if it’s a sequel to a movie I like, or if it’s made by a director I like, or if it’s based on a book I like. Case in point, the movies I have seen in theatres this year are:
300
Grindhouse
Spider-Man 3
Shrek the Third
POTC 3 |

Wow... Pirates 3 is bloody (is that word ***ed?) awesome.
I loved the part with the Dutchman and the Pearl duelling in the maelstrom.
I didn’t like the semi-skitzo Jack, though. I think they should’ve left the inner workings of his mind unexplained. |

It was good, but the plot was iffy at times and it had quite a few story holes, but the special effects more than redeemed it, I wish it had some of the Kraken though... |

| Yeah, i thought calypso would go berserk when they released her, but all she did was grow really big, then turn into crabs and drop in the ocean. Very dissapointing. Also, why did all of the once sea creature like minions of davy jones suddenly get better when he was killed, and why didn’t orlando bloom turn all gross like jones? lots of plot holes. |

I believe she was the one who started the big storm they fought in, the maelstrom and everything.

That I don’t know.

It’s because Jones only went all gross because he perverted his duty. His job was to ferry dead souls to the next world; but he neglected that duty and instead brought those dead souls ’back to life,’ as his fishy friends. |

I liked it...and as Bib stated: the only one to decide wheter a film is worth the effort is me.
Off: here in Holland in general, movies show up later then in the US. For example, Shrek III comes out next month, so I have to wait. So Bib, was it worth your money? And other movies that are on my "to watch list": Fracture, 23, Die Hard 4, has anyone seen them yet? |
