Um...sometimes. Depends on the class. Homeschoolers sometimes take classes outside the home, in which they have to take finals, and some classes in the home they take finals as well.
For example, I had to take finals on Algebra II, but not Algebra I. (It really wasn’t Algebra II, it was Algebra II, Geometry, and Intro to Trigonometry all in one. I’m now in Advanced Math, which is a 2-year course). I had to take finals in Forensics (speech) but not Debate. Etc.
In my Algebra I class, I took several exams throughout the year and then I guess it could be considered a final exam, but it was the same difficulty as all the others. Composite score was my grade.
Basically, we’re not that strict on it, I take the ACT and that’s my finals.  |
