Lol, yeah, I don’t much care what kind it is, so long as it’s playable. I got an amp for it, too. It’s a pretty good guitar though.
And I don’t really know how to play (yet). I’m gonna get lessons from a friend’s dad (he’s in a band). |

| Question about that amp...does it have an overdrive feature? If not, look into getting a distortion pedal, man. There’s practically no other way to play electric. |

Basically, it’s what gives electric guitar its awesomely sweet tone. Without it...it sounds like a variant on acoustic. Lemme see if I can illustrate...
Most hardcore music and metal is an excellent example of distortion/overdrive. Rock music, definitely got a lot of overdrive distortion in there. (technically, not really correct, but it’s good for your purposes)
An example of non-distorted would be, say...the intro to Happy is a Yuppie Word. I don’t know if you listen to Switchfoot, but... |

 You must be new with guitars right? I would rather have a Gibson that a 2-nd rate model like WASP for obvious reasons... |
