that’s true about the army were the ones with guns...
For us though, the revolutionary war was mainly made by civilians, and we (they) had to have arms. (rifles... but having our other arms made it easier to use the rifles. ) |

| It’s true that gun control has nothing to do with communism....But many times it is intimately associated with it. Especially with the "evil-er" forms of Communism. You never have any freedom under those guys. |

not obsessed. (at least not me) but it is an ’important’ topic. (some think)
It was a major war between U.S.S.R. and America, the free vs. the communist. and supposedly disolved during the 1990’s however it is still around and since America takes more action than most other nations, it is talked about more over here. |

| I think that guns shouldn’t be outlawed. But I think that automatics and the likes have pretty much no purpose exept to kill people. |

| I agree, going on if the government tries to take over, (this applies any where, which I hope never happens) Automatics would be a useful for civilians. |

i fully intend to have a concealed weapons license when i am old enough, and i always come back to this situation in my mind when thinking about gun control:
i’m walking down the street with my wife/girl friend/whoever. out comes some guy, pulls a gun and trys to take my wife. i can not stand to see myself so helpless, there without a gun.
now, i am a christian, so yes, i believe God can make a mericle happen to save us. but i also believe that God can make my car run without gas, but does he? not usually. i still fill the car with gas.
i believe that guns should be used to protect other people. to provide food. etc...
the two times when it is right to kill, are when protecting, or providing.

that’s exactly right. because there are thousands of nutjobs like me who will die before giving up their guns.

...Which was the original purpose in the inventing of weapons in general.
Almost anything can be used for a purpose not designed for the original intent. We should imprisone for life or execute those guys running around murdering people rather than passing stricter gun laws.

I see so instead of the solution that would save lives you would prefer to go for the solution which takes them instead. And guns were not invented for the purpose of killing for food or for protecting people they were used for improving the capabilities of armies to kill each other. |
