Shieldmaiden wrote: Shieldmaiden, dear trademaiden, I come to you, with an offer to think about. Since Anautikus and I are looking for something to fight over, I thought of something. We both claim to be nice guys, what if you throw hypothetical (right word?) situations at us. We both let you know what we would do and you decide who is actualy the nicest guy..being me ofcourse Twisted Evil .... Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
I’m lost hahaha
If not, can you be so kind as to find me the challenge, dear Gil-Estel |

Okay, here it is:

We will start with an easy one, then work up to more difficult ones. How many do you want, by the way?
Here’s the first:
You are walking through a desert. You’re very thirsty. There is water in your car, about half a mile away. You come across a large tortoise lying on its back. It cannot turn itself over, and it will take quite a bit of effort for you to turn it. Will you?
I’ve got some difficult ones in mind for the future.
And sorry, but I’m going to bed soon too! (yes, I know, those people living in Europe are lightweights!) I will judge in the morning, when my head is clear. |

gil-estel’s Answer:
tortoise being a turtle yes? I would turn the beast up side down and make it walk to my car, with me on top of it!
Anautikus’ Answer:
Well, seeing as you said I’m not dying, so I think I could exert a bit of effort on my part. My guns would do the job (referring to my biceps hahaha). Because I have endurance, I can handle waiting for the water, because once I flip the turtle, I’ll still have enough energy to go 1/2 a mile to my car. 1/2 a mile is nothing
Well, if this were a contest of humor, then gil-estel would gain a point. But since it’s a contest for the nicest person, I have to give it to...
Anautikus!
This is because he wouldn’t make the tortoise carry him back to the car (although that did make me laugh ). And for a moment there, I was afraid that Anautikus was going to shoot the tortoise. Luckily, he gave an explanation. |

Right, next challenge (and I warned you that it would get a bit tougher):
You are able to help some people. Unfortunately, you can only do so by harming other people. The number of people harmed will be 10 percent of those helped. First question: Would you do it? Second question: When considering whether or not to help (and harm), does the actual number of people involved make a difference to you? For example, does it make a difference if you are helping ten people by harming one person rather than helping 100,000 people by harming 10,000 people?
If this is too heavy, and you guys want to go back to light-hearted questions, then I’ll make the next one an easier one. |
