well you see, if you caount down 13 forums, you get RPG. If you cound down 13 treads, including stickies, than you get I55 shadows of middle earth OOC, and than the 13th poster on that is FM saying Quote: You mean uglyness can be healed?!?!?

I walked down the crowded Brazillian streets nonchalantly. No one this far away from home would recognize me, I was sure.
Except for my next target. Felipe Musco, I knew, was holed up inside his home, well-guarded. However much he would have liked to be out on the town, like many others at this hour, I knew his protection would not allow it, especially not after last time. Darn those cops! I had hoped to take this one down without any opposition... but alas, that proves impossible. I resolved to make a cop my next target; perhaps that pesky macheteman. I already regretted not targeting him earlier, he was easlily the most dangerous of the bunch.
I continued up the long, winding road, until the sounds of the nightlife behind me faded. Many privite homes now dotted the hillside, and I noticed one with a light on in a bedroom window. I knew this was my target.
I crept up to it slowly, and deftly picked the lock. I walked in carefully, my wits about me. But no bullets whizzed over my head, no security men rushed to apprehend me.
At risk of sounding cliche, it was quiet, and too quiet at that.
I crept up the darkened stairs, alert for the slightest sound. But just as I made no noise, neither did any noise come from the house. It was rather unnerving. Perhaps it was Bibfortuna who had gotten the protection instead. They had suspected I’d come after him...
Silent as a breath of wind, the door to the lighted room swung open before me. I saw a figure sitting silently in a chair, looking towards a computer screen. Cobracards was pulled up, and, I noticed, so was my assassin’s thread.
"Hello, Elf Lvr," came a voice, quite different from the one I expected FM to have. For once, I froze in my moment of suprise.
A gunshot rang out through the house, echoing off of bare walls and empty rooms.
I clutched at my bleeding shoulder as the throwing knife slipped from my bloodied hand. I fell back against the wall, and slumped to the floor. Macheteman was standing behind the chair, revolver in hand.
"Your game is up."
I brushed my hair out of my eyes with my good hand and gave a small smile.
"How did you know?"

I am Elf Lvr! Good marks to mm for guessing (yet again) the correct villain. A few GP coming your way, for certain.
Also, I’ll be accepting PM’s for the next person to become incognito. Send them to Incognito, not Elf Lvr, please. Soon as that happens, we can get a new round of cops.
Now, mm, how DID you know? I didn’t think I was being THAT obvious... what were your clues? I’d love to hear your thinking.
Oh, and by the way... it never said that the assassin couldn’t be a cop in the rules.  And obviously NBarden was fine with it.
EDIT: Oh, and DON’T delete the posts from this game. We can start a NEW assassin thread for the next incognito, just don’t delete this one, so people can revisit it. |

heeheehee... you weren’t that obvious. but great minds think alike. i had planned on becoming incognito as soon as i could, become a cop as well etc... my real clue was going through the old posts figuring out who we’ve arrested already.
first, i knew that incog was part of the RPG-ers but i could not figure out who it was (your way of becoming a cop was completely convincing btw, full marks for that). one of the biggest giveaways was that on the clue with the ROTK cypher thing, you suggested how you thought it worked, but you wished you could have helped more but you were leaving. you were conveniently back by the time incognito killed SoP and EL. and incog told us that it was a cypher as you had suggested before. you gave no reason for why you killed EL, and you didn’t give any clues. after i had my suspicions i went and looked at your posts, and it became somewhat clear that you were incognito. so i PM-ed Shieldmaiden and asked her if she wanted to arrest you. she said she would but wondered about your last post: "I don’t think incognito woulda counted the mod forum, though, he can’t even see it!" and it fit with the way you had helped us when we were not on the right track. so instead of waiting until tomorrow for SM to arrest you i took my gamble and came out with the chips.
thank you to all the awesome cops that helped with the case, and to AP who kept telling us who wasn’t incognito even when we didn’t ask.

Awesome. That works.
I did leave a few clues in my last assassination that SoP and FM picked up on... to be honest I was about ready to be arrested, although it would have been cool for the game to have gone on for a while longer.
Wonder who the new incog will be. |

I’m sorry that I didn’t do the arrest last night. Right after I sent you that pm, the wee man (2 year old) got tired and needed to go to bed (it was about 9:30pm here). I fell asleep right along with him.
Sleeping on the job, I should be fired!
