Fortunately for me, this afternoon was very easy. The cops completely mistook the clue to my identity for the clue to my victim and placed legoles333 under protection leaving my true victim alone. At about 3:30 in the afternoon I found myself hiding in the bushes across from AnxiousChieftain’s home waiting for AC to come out and get his mail. He was blissfully ignorant of the threat to his life and thus was taken completely by surprise when he heard a sharp twang and then looked down to see a cedar shaft sticking out of his lower left abdomen. A second twang sounded and by the wince on his face I could tell that blinding pain had ripped through right chest as another arrow found its home in his body. Based on the placement, I could guess that his lung had been punctured and had collapsed. Almost in slow motion he fell to his knees as I readied my third arrow. A third twang erupted from my hiding spot and another arrow found his heart. I knew then that my job was completed. The most active moderator was dead. The clue that my predecessor left behind in the apartment that he was the next victim was completely overlooked. Maybe using the newspaper contacts that I had to send the warning was too obscure, but the cops had solved much harder riddles before. Maybe they would understand the clue to my next victim a little bit better once they put two and two together…
Carefully I planted a clue to my next victim in the bushes where I had been hiding, made sure to eliminate all other traces that I had been there and then got up and walked to my vehicle. Once I reached my vehicle and stowed my bow and remaining arrows, I drove away listening attentively to the police scanner for any news of a homicide. It didn’t take long for the news of AC’s demise to reach the police. This gave me great satisfaction as I started my drive to my next victim’s residence.
After combing the scene of the crime the police found only two things of note other than the arrow riddled body. The arrow that had punctured AC’s heart had a piece of cardboard on it. Unfortunately, it was so soaked with blood the front of the card was not recognizable at all. Fortunately a bit of the back was still legible. The police were able to positively identify it as a card from Decipher’s Lord of the Rings trading card game.
In the bushes near the scene of the crime, they found a newspaper clipping that looked like it was announcing a Shakespeare troupe coming to town on September 15th. The headline stated:

Hey im posting only on previous clues not heling solve new ones, because im intrigued as to how the last clue helped identify anyone!
I knew it wasnt going to be l3333 (note NB). Three arrows was just how he killed AC. That means three strands not easily broken is what pointed to AC. Interesting. Soooo.... WHAT THE HECK DID IT MEAN? I cant meddle with the game but i want an explanation as much as the next guy.
mm youre the super sleuth when NK isnt around. You got any ideas? Its a shame Certain isnt spelled Centain. As thats an anagram of Ancient... |

I know I said that I would sticky previous rounds if there were enough votes, but we might be able to accomplish the same thing by stickying the main game thread and just keeping links in the second or third post like I have been.
Would that work?
better yet, sticky one thread with links to all of the rounds, and the game. OK I still don’t get how this hinted to AC... |

perhaps there is a tie between Certain elements Ok, I’ll admit, I’m being a bit too vague here. The last time in the thread you saw enlarged text was when?
The last time in the thread you saw bold was when?
Perhaps these are clues that should be equated or tied together somehow. |

not that i care, but for the record me and NK solved the same number of clues in the last game.
and the only thing i can find so far is that the "AMIR" Averts "Motto Code" thing starts with an "A" and the first letter of the last word is "C". not much i know, but this is also interesting: using the same logic, and looking at incog’s last clue (most active moderator was the first thing in bold) the first letter is "m" and the first letter of the last is word "m". mm. so i place myself under protection. and i will keep looking into this clue. strumpet forsooth is probably important. |
