Okay, now that I’m at considerably high level resource generation (for day two), I can take a break from working the game all day and simply watch my resource explode.
Currently generating:
409 metal/hr
161 crystal/hr
68 deuterium/hr
lvl 7 metal
lvl 5 crystal
lvl 4 deuterium
lvl 8 solar
lvl 1 robotics factory
Current resources:
Metal- 390
Crystal- 320
Deuterium- 421
In approximately 2 hrs, I’ll be able to upgrade to lvl 2 robotics, after which I’ll be able to build a shipyard and begin working on a fleet.
Or should I go for the research center? Or upgrade my resource production? I’m thinking that maybe I should get resource production up as high as possible and start working on research/fleet next week. |

My piracy has paid off. I’m building my first colony ship and I’ll have it in the next ~2 hours then it is off to the last planet in my system.
I didn’t build exactly what I thought I would in the order I thought I would, but I’m doing quite well in my opinion. I put on over 70 points today and I’ll probably be closer to 150 for the weekend.
Good stuff!
Yeah, it is best to ramp production and only research what you need to build things faster and get the ships you want. |

DON"T START A FLEET.
If by a "fleet" you mean a couple small cargo ships for raiding inactives, a esp. probe or two, and colony ships, then make a fleet.
But don’t even bother with a war fleet. I have talked/messaged several veteran players, (all had at LEAST 60,000 points).
They all agreed that no-one should try to build a war-fleet until they have 8 well defended planets.
Fleets are simply too good of a target to pass up.
Unlike you buildings, ships can be destroyed, and if the attacker has recycler ships they can harvest resources from the debris of your ships.

Keep working on your resource production.
I would wait on the research center until your mines are all level 10.
then start on research,, specifically impulse drive, and combustion drive.
The objective is to launch Colony ships, and small cargo ships for raiding. |

I’m sitting on tons of resources. At least, enough to upgrade anything, and maybe two things.
What should I build?
After the Solar Plant, that is, because I’m sitting at 9/342 energy, meaning I’ll be shortchanging anything I upgrade. 
I was thinking Crystal, because its not keeping up well with my metal well at all (409:161 ratio), and I won’t be needing serious Deuterium for a while. |

| Well...since BtO doesn’t want the resources he gave me back, as soon as I stabilize my economy and get some transport ships, I’ll pass on the amount BtO gave me to you, under one condition, after you build your economy, you pass it on to someone else. |
