the guy would have to be stupid to attack you if you have next to no resources and some defenses. Spend your resources, and you won’t get attacked.
M_H I could use some assistance resource wise. |

I’m starting to get worried about being attacked...will I get an alert saying I was attacked at a certain time?
can an attacker destroy buildings?
Can an attacker completely wipe you out, leaving me with nothing to do?
OK i’ve finished asking all of my numerous questions.  |

Yep, you’ll get a battle report, and while an attacker’s fleet is on the way it will be displayed in the overview.

No. When an attacker attacks, he can destroy only ships and defenses (although each defensive structure has a 70% of coming back after being destroyed). He can only take up to half of your resources in one attack.

Oh just so you Space Force guys know, I have asked AC to start sending aid to me which I will funnel to you.
He said he would see what he could do.....
In other news I will launch another colony ship tomorrow, hopefully start really ramping up production.
Lastly, if anyone finds a really good inactive player to farm, please post the coordinates here if you don’t mind.
General rules of thumb for raiding inactive,
1. Avoid attacking someone who is in an alliance, as members of that alliance may retailiate against you.
2. When your are looking for someone to raid, try to hit someone who’s score is less then yours.
3. It never hurts to send out an espionage drone to make sure the target is worth hitting.
4. and finally remember that you can only take 50% of their resources if you win, allocate enough cargo space for this. |

something along these lines:

I was wondering if you would like to join the CobraCards Space Force on universe 17 of Ogame.
OGame is a free, browser based, space warfare simulator, and is somewhat similar to games like starcraft..however you don’t need to download any software to play.
IF you would like to discuss this check out the CC Space Force discussion thread in the members lounge.
As of now, Merrick_Hale, Sickofpalantirs, Macheteman, Celembribor, Gagnut, Fingolfin, and NBarden are all members..
To create an account simply go to Ogame.org and when registering make sure your account is created on Universe 17. Then log in and click on Alliance, search for alliance tag "CC SPF" then select “Cobra Cards SPace Force”. Send me an application and I will accept it ASAP.
I will send you as a new member, some resources to really get started.
This aid package would include 3K metal, 2K crystal, and 1K deuterium.

Good question, I would wait until all your mines at are least level 10.
Then start building a couple rocket launchers, a light laser...
I have posted this like 10 times but it is still good.
( I got this from the OGame wiki)
* If you don’t have time for your account very often, you should build defense that would cause slightly more damage than the value of any resources that can be plundered in your absence.
* If the amount of resources that can be plundered are much greater than your defense then you can be certain another player will target your planet for the resources. A possible solution is fleetsave.
* A good defense will protect and allow you to build up your mines and fleet.
* After combat, 70% of your defensive structures that were destroyed will be automatically rebuilt for free.
* Ratios (recommended at http://www.ogametips.com/25/building-defenses):
o Build Rocket Launchers as your fodder.
o Build 1 Light Laser for every 5 Rocket Launchers.
o Build 1 Heavy Laser for every 20 Rocket Launchers.
o Build 1 Ion Cannon for every 60 Rocket Launchers.
o Build 1 Gauss Cannon for every 150 Rocket Launchers.
o Build 1 Plasma Turret for every 500 Rocket Launchers.
o Build 1 Small Shield Dome when you reach 100 Rocket Launchers
o Build 1 Large Shield Dome when you reach 500 Rocket Launchers
* That means when you acquire 500 Rocket Launchers, you should have:
o 100 Light Lasers
o 25 Heavy Lasers
o 8 Ion Cannons
o 3 Gauss Cannons
o 1 Plasma Turret
o 1 Small Shield Dome
o 1 Large Shield Dome |
