Okay, I can’t raid this dude anymore without bashing, and I can’t find any other defenseless advanced players to pillage, so I’m picking on some helpless n00bs. Hey, it costs me 2 deut each and I get 5000 some resources. Max. Yeah, my espionage probes found out everything I need to know about them. Including that they’ve got some stuff sitting around that they can’t use. 
So anyway, thanks for the stuff, BtO.
Oh, BTW, withing a couple days I should be ready to send out a colony ship. How do you find out how many fields a planet has?
BTW, dibs on 1:140:13. I plan to use it as a high-end Deuterium producer.  |

All right, could you guys spare some time for a usual random question from CBB?
What does the "energy" at the top right of the screen supposed to mean?
What intrigues me, that there is a negative number in red, and a positive number in white.
Anyway, All of my mines are at level 5, I have lvl 3 robotics factory, and lvl 4 solar plant. Life is good. |

You can’t. It is almost pure stikin luck. Basically you send it out and cross you fingers.
Here is a graph that shows that range of fields each slot can have
Scale from 0 - 350: Each horizontal line represents 50 fields
Even if you only get a 36 fielder, you can still turn a profit.
As for CB energy question..
Energy is required to make your mines and synthesizers work. Energy is produced by Solar Plants, Fusion Reactors and Solar Satellites. It is displayed in the top frame of the Interface. The far right resource shown is Energy displayed as numbers x/y. Y would be the combined output of your Solar Plant, Fusion Reactor and Solar Satellites. x is the remaining unused (excess) power.
Production Factor
If the available energy is negative (red), then your mines will not produce at full capacity. By going to the Resources Screen you can see Production Factor above the table of building outputs. If this is 1, all mines are operating at maximum effeciency. If the Production Factor is less then the mines are not producing as much as they could. For example, if production factor is .5, then your mines are getting half the power they need and are producing 50% their maximum output.
The best way to fix a low production factor is to build a higher level solar plant, a higher level fusion plant, or more solar satellites. Also, you can lower the production percentage of one or two of your mines so that the remaining ones can continue to produce at maximum capacity. |

Colony ship in production. My pillaging just paid off with 50k resources yesterday.
Yo ho ho ho a pirates life for me.
Its M_H’s fault. He got me hooked.
BTW, I have 366 points.
And I have a bunch of resources I don’t know what to do with so I’m building a Missle Silo. Pretty soon, I’ll begin producing IPMs and nuke someone. Then I’ll pillage them for their resources.
It’ll pay for itself really fast. |

I’m encountering an issue where during the week, there are lots of players that will go pillaging, and so my resource piracy goes down dramatically. Oh well.
In other news, I am currently at 4001 points and have an incoming fleet from a guy from 1:152:5 I guess he decided that I was a tasty target and would like to take me out. Oh well. I guess I’ll just have to resource save and make him waste his deut! |
