Looks to me like regardless of your theoretical research in Weapons, Shields and Armor, it winds up in a draw and you lose multiple ships. |

Some guy attacked me with 28 battleships, and I nearly lost. The battle ended in a draw, and his fleet returned to his planet. I lost about 1/3 of my defenses, though, and about 15 cargoes and / or probes. His coordinates are 1:170:11. I sent out a probe, and his planet looks like this:
95,186 Metal
122,258 Crystal
17,801 Deuterium
1,262 Enery
2% chance of counter-espionage
I can’t see anything else about him. If somebody like AC or Merrick could espionage him, I’d love to see his defenses. I could really use that crystal. |

Even if he wins, it won’t be worth his while. I’ve sent away my fleet, and I have less than 6K resources on hand.
I think he’s attacking me because I raided someone in his alliance a couple of days ago.  |

I destroyed his 25 battleships. I lost about 20 each of light lasers and rocket launchers, plus a couple heavy cannons and ion cannons.
1,829 points and growing.  |
