Ok all, here is what I found out about the guys that AP so unwisely picked on:
They are clan "Hell’s Marines" with a total of 18 members, 17 of whom are somewhat active players.
There are three in the 700-900th place range (better than me) and quite a number who are still pretty low and under newbie protection.
I’m not willing to mess with them as there are so many more of them than there are of me and there is nothing stopping them from taking us on.
A good number of them seem to be pretty active as in they are consistently rising in the ranks.
They have several colonies although there may only be two or 3 with 8 colonies. I scanned through every system in Galaxy 1, and found their colonies that way, although there are quite a number in Galaxy 2 as well (homeworlds are in galaxy 2).
I think we should just chalk this up to an unwise decision to attack. Next time AP, do a little bit of research to find out how strong a clan is before you attack a seemingly weak member. At this point I only go for independents and inactives as I don’t want to incur the wrath of a strong alliance that could smack me hard. I probably wouldn’t attack any clan that has more members than ours, ESPECIALLY GIVEN THE NUMBER OF LOW ACTIVITY PLAYERS THAT WE HAVE.

Yeah, I usually only attack independent’s, or people who just recently joined/formed an alliance.
Don’t just say "uh-oh, ALLIANCE! Stay away!"
I’ve raided PLENTY of people who were member’s of an alliance with 1 or 2 or 3 people. And they haven’t raised a finger to stop me.
Although I may have hit some people hoarding mega-resources...we’ll see if any retribution comes from it. |

Anyway, I need about 10,000 metal for construction of next robo factory (lvl  So, if anyone can spare some, that would be great.
