Booyah! Here are the results of my latest battle:
The attacker has won the battle!
He captured
126.302 metal, 108.954 crystal, and 7.094 deuterium
I love being able to find soft targets! This guy obviously hasn’t been on in a while as his planet wasn’t accumulating metal or crystal any more. |

| What did you lose in your fleet? Once my fleet returns, I’ll be able to send you some aid. As it is right now, all of my ships are out and about shuffling resources between colonies, or returning from raids, but within an hour and a half I should be able to send you some help. PM me what you need in game and I’ll help you get some of your fleet back. |

The GJSO is moving off into universe 25 as well. That universe will be strictly for a war between members.
Muahaha.
If you guys want to join in the war, you’d have to join a new alliance there, but we’re going to fragment into separate alliances in Galaxy 9 and hash it out there. |

I have come to the conclusion that I have wasted too many hours on this game and therefore will be resigning effective sometime in the not too distant future.
The full story for my quitting Uni17 is as follows:
On Wednesday afternoon I left my account and unfortunately had ships out and thus could not fleet save or enter vacation mode.
On Thursday evening I came home to find my home planet had been attacked by BB ANTIOFFICER, my entire fleet destroyed and all the resources taken.
I responded to this act of piracy not by stealing any of their resources in return, but by attacking with IPMs the "least powerful" of their alliance AKZY. I systematically destroyed his defense on most of his worlds within striking distance with IPMs. Granted, this was a petty thing to do, but it did assuage my anger a bit at being attacked without provocation and having my entire fleet taken.
This apparently triggered the GDI AO revenge mechanism by which they pledge to destroy my defenses until their weakest member can attack me. I have no doubt that they will be able to do it as currently I have 6 fleets from BB ANTIOFFICER bearing down on my home world. These fleets consist of:
1) 111 Bombers 151 Destroyers
2) 363 Battleships 303 Battlecruisers
3) 565 Battleships 313 Battlecruisers
4) 1,111 Cruisers
5) 4,444 Heavy Fighers
6) 7,777 Light Fighers
Verbal diplomacy is a loss as once this "defense" is initiated, there is no revoking it. I stated that I would apologize for lashing out in anger, but that is no good. Humiliation and revenge is all they desire. I do not want to associate with people who will not listen to a sincere apology and who are so twisted by their sense of self justice and fair play that they cannot forgive.
I admit that my actions play a direct role in my unfortunate situation and that I cannot fully blame anybody, but myself. But as one of my friends pointed out, there really isn’t that much to do in the game... it is very repetitive, consuming of time and pretty much a big waste of time unless you are a lot more powerful than I am... I regret to leave you all, but in a world where the big dogs cannot be challenged and I’m just a chihuahua, I don’t want to play.

Drat. Last night, I was espionaged by Kram AO, 1:61:11. His probe was destroyed by my defenses, but he still sent out an attacking fleet consisting of:
100 Battleships
1 Recycler
19 Bombers
7 Destroyers
30 Battlecruisers
He won the battle, and captured 77M, 54C, and 21D. I lost the following defenses:
69 Rocket Launchers
97 Light Lasers
13 Heavy Lasers
1 Gauss Cannon
8 Ion Cannons
Edit: ...and both of my Shield Domes. Perfect. |

I refuse to play a game with people who do not know or understand what an apology looks like or is for and who cannot exercise grace. When a person or entity is so set upon revenge that they cannot forgive (that includes me) it is time to re-evaluate why one is playing a game.
I guess the biggest part is, I don’t like what I saw in me after I was attacked. My anger and subsequent revenge brought this on me. I know better than to take revenge and did it any way. I don’t like what I became because that is not how I would act towards a live person. |
