I have made a "fleet" of 3 small cargo ships.
I then look through the systems for inactive playesr (represented by having their name in grey and with an "i" next to their name)
I then send an espionage drone to check their resources, and if they are lower then my on the rankings I send out my fleet of cargoes to raid and get resources. I have gotten at least 10K metal, and 5K cystal from this, and it is fun too.
Here are my current levels.
Metal Mine (level 12)
Crystal Mine (level 12)
I like getting lots of this stuff
Deuterium Synthesizer (level 9)
btw you need 10K of this to make a colony ship
Solar Plant (level 13)
Fusion Reactor (level 4)
Need deut. to run this puppy
Robotics Factory (level 3)
Shipyard (level 2)
ONCE I get this to level 4 I can build that Colony Ship I have been saving for!!! |

Hmmm... it doesn’t seem like the cargo ships have really paid off yet... yes you are + on the metal, but the cost to get the ships will require 1K more crystal...
I’m still working on buffing my resources. Current stats are:
Structures:
Metal Mine 14
Crystal Mine 12
Deuterium Synthesizer 9
Solar Plant 15
Fusion Reactor 3
Robotics Factory 3
Shipyard 4
Research lab 3
Research:
Espionage Tech 2
Computer Tech 1
Energy Tech 3
Combustion Drive 3
Impulse Drive 1
Laser Tech 3
My goal is to get my resource production to the point that I can expand like crazy (1 colony ship every 24 hours) and colonize rapidly then start sending resources to my colonies to get them up, and then after that focus on building my fleets. To do that, I need to get to:
Crystal Mine 14
Deuterium Synthesizer 13
Solar Plant 17
Fusion Reactor 4 (this will keep my + deut flow at >500 per hour)
The cost in metal is astonishing - Almost 200,000 but I figure I’ll take it one day at a time and I’ll get there pretty quickly (4 days or there abouts starting tomorrow morning). So by Wednesday next week I’ll likely have my first colony.
I have a question about espionage probes. Are they one shot deals or if they don’t get destroyed can you get them back and use them over and over again? |
