OK my status:
lvl 1 metal mine

i started to do some more research in order to get a large transport. there is an inactive planet that i can get a lot of resources from. i also am working towards getting a colony ship. i’m hoping that the resources i get from the planet will help boost my production. i’m also trying to build a few heavy lasers for defense.

Okay first, you don’t need to rejoin.
Second, I would worry about being whacked, only other people who have about the same amount of points can attack you until you get above 5,000 points (which will take awhile 
MM, the reason you would want more rockets (eventually) is that the way to combat engine works, you want to have a lot of cheap units (like the rocket) to absorb the fire away from your laser, and such.

i understand that. but if i have the choice between a rocket launcher that costs 2000 metal, and a light laser which is more powerful and spreads it’s cost between metal and crystal at 1500m and 500c i’m going to go with the laser.
i mean, which is better, 5 rocket launchers and a light laser, or 6 light lasers? |

qq, I may join but won’t have that much time, is this one of those games where you can get killed when you aren’t logged on? Or is it like Runescape or something where the game only affects you when you’re on.

You can get killed while you are offline (I’m currently plundering an inactive player’s resources) but the only thing that can happen is you lose some of your resources, ships and defenses. The only time that will matter is when you have a huge fleet (there are ways of saving it) or if you are saving up for something.
You would have to make a very good target (easy to steal from and worth more than the opponent would lose in attacking you) in order for it to be worth other peoples while though. I’m not being attacked by anybody right now because I run VERY resource poor, meaning I spend it all before it would be worth it for anybody to attack. |

First post in the thread or here:
Ogame Sign Up
Make sure you get into universe 17 and search for CC SPF under alliances or bobtheorc under players. Go to the alliance tab and sign up with us.
When I get up there in resource generation, I’ll see what I can do to help out with getting other members kick started. |
