I dont mean to deliberately contradict you guys but i dont think its either of them. The writing style just doesnt fit. Both those guys use capitals and punctuation frequently and this assassins posts are more random and i have never seen Thran or M_H use THREE exclamation marks. Its just not them.
Hey Assassin, im "lem0n" not "A lem0n"!!! |

well, there is what i’ve said before, and i don’t know what you know that makes you think that it’s not him, so, i figured i’d arrest him.
about the clue, i was thinking, could it be a combination of an anagram and a calculator code? |

Safely home, I was trying relax, but I couldn’t. I felt a bit edgy, like I should keep looking over my shoulder, but when I did, there was nothing to see. There were too many people around. Although I was warned that it wasn’t a good idea, I went upstairs to my bedroom, where I could be alone for a while.
I took off my coat and laid it on the bed. Then I heard the theme from the movie Jaws. Had someone turned on a television?
The sound was coming from my coat. I pulled a mobile phone out of its pocket. With my heart hammering in my chest, I answered it.
"Hello?"
“Your own folly will drag you down in this,” came a voice.
I knew who it was. It could only be one person. But I didn’t want it to be him.
“Who is this?” I asked.
“Oh, I think you know,” I said. “Do you think your little guard can save you? Oh, no, they can’t protect you from the choice I’m going to give you. Are you listening?”
“Yes.”
“Go to lake Loch Ness. I chartered a boat, the Jacobite, and it will be waiting for you, scheduled to leave at 2:00PM tomorrow. Be on it. Alone. Tell the captain to sail north for one hour at fifteen knots, and then stop. At that point, go on the top of the boat and face east. That’s choice one.”
When Incognito said the name of the boat, my heart seemed to go from speeding to a full stop. I know that boat. The first time that I visited Scotland, my future husband and I had camped at Dochgarroch, right next to the River Ness. We had been out looking at the stars when a boat floated past us. A full party was being held on it, complete with a band on its upper deck. We looked at the name of the boat. It was the Jacobite Spirit. And my husband’s nickname is Jacobite.
But there was no way that Incognito could have known that. Surely it was just a coincidence. I did my best to compose myself.
“What’s choice two?”
“A bunch of people will die without warning.” He hung up the phone.
I did not want other people to die because of me. There was only one thing that I could do.
Now I was faced with an interesting problem. I needed to ditch my own protection. An idea formed in my head. I used the mobile phone that Incognito had left in my pocket to phone for deliveries from Pizza Hut, the Chinese place, Indian restaurant and the chippie. Then I went into my daughters’ bedroom (thanking the Lord that they were away visiting my husband, who lives in the Borders), which faced my back garden. I quietly opened the window. There were many guards below, but so was the kids’ trampoline. Perfect. With my coat on, I waited.
The doorbell finally rang. It was the chippie. And, as luck would have it, the pizza man was just behind. There was no sign of the others yet. Ah well, it would have to do.
The deliveries caused some distraction amongst the police, but not as much as I had hoped for. Whilst most of them were at the front door, there was still one holding the fort in my back garden. Looking around, I spotted a cat clock. It belongs to my 11 year old, but my 14 year old and I hate it (its alarm sounds horrible, and it falls off of the dresser all of the time, once on the 14 year old’s head). It was about to die.
I grabbed the cat clock, leaned out of the window and threw it as hard as I could into my neighbor’s back garden. It hit their paving stones and smashed into a thousand pieces, making a glorious sound. The cop responded instantly, calling for back up and leaping over the fence.
With little time before the whole lot of them were in my back garden, I leapt out of the window. I landed on the trampoline and bounced a few times before I managed to clamber off of it. I bolted behind my hedge and straight to my car. Chaos now reigned at my house. For now, there was no one in the residents’ car park, but that was about to change. I jumped in my car and drove away as quickly as I could.
I drove to Inverness, only stopping once at McDonald’s for something to eat. MickeyD’s is one of the few places here where you can get donuts (even if they’re just the baked kind).
When I arrived at Jacobite cruises, the tour operator thought it was unusual for only one person to go out in the boat. I assured him that I was the only one going out today. He was getting paid the same anyway, so he shrugged his shoulders and made ready to leave. I felt a strange sense of calm as I boarded the boat.
There’s an old Scottish saying, "Thet which is fir ye wil no gae past ye." (that which is for you will not go past you) In other words, you cannot escape your fate. |

Ok this clue is getting old and incognito seems to not have a dead line for killing his next victim.

| I’m not Thranduil or Merrick_Hale. I have to wait until SM makes her choice. then the story will take off again. Why don’t you eat a donut while you wait. |

Sorry, I totally missed SM’s post, so here we go. Ready or not!
I was hiding below deck, and awaiting the opportune moment. I had given Shieldmaiden all those directions in case she had told the cops, and had snipers or something in place. As it was I was still suspicious of the small fishing craft, the Midnight Sun, which was preparing to leave at the same time we were. When Shieldmaiden boarded, I made my move. I grabbed her by the arm, paid the captain, tipped the mate, and we were off the ship.
"Alright," I said, "I need you to tell me where macheteman lives."
"Why? so you can kill him?"
"No no no no," I said sarcastically, "he’s and old friend of mine."
"Ok, so why in the world would i tell you where he lives?"
"If you don’t, a lot of people will die. It’s that simple. And if you don’t tell me, you’ll have to answer to my knife!" I drew the blade and pressed it firmly into her side.
"Better your knife than my conscience!" she rejoined defiantly.
I remained silent for a moment or two as we neared my vehicle. And quietly drew out a box of donuts. "I’m going to start eating this box of donuts right in front of you, until you tell me where macheteman lives. once you do that,. the rest of the box is yours."
I hadn’t finished my first donut before she caved. And after that we were on our way, Shieldmaiden happily eating the box of donuts.
We drove to macheteman’s house. The whole place bore a sense of peril. I knew this cop was dangerous, and i was prepared. I had a bottle of poison, and my knife. Shieldmaiden was secured to the door of the car with my pair of handcuffs. In a few moments I was inside the house macheteman was sleeping on a futon couch, and i silently crept to him. There were a few machetes lying around, so i picked one up just in case. I got all the way to him, and prepared to pour the poison into his mouth. But in a flash he was up machete in hand!
I swung the machete at him, but he blocked as if he knew what I was thinking. We battled and battled, macheteman knew how to wield a machete, neither of us could gain the upper hand. We fought and fought, exchanged blow for blow, equally wearing down. we fought out the door, and around my car. We battled on the car, Shieldmaiden frightened inside. It was as though each of us were anticipating each other’s blows with stunning accuracy. At last we had both been worn to the point of exhaustion. and at the same time fainted away.
