Flaming is worse than spamming, at least the kind of spamming we see over here, like useless posting.
Then there’s the kind of spamming that spambots do. And that’s Baaaaaaad. But still not as bad as flaming.
That means flamers are worse than spambots.
Ooooh! Just got burned!
Or should I say flamed?

no kidding, lol. remember that really bad time of spambots we had a while back? before connor put in that defense thing. we haven’t seen another spambot season as bad as that one. well, SoP is sort of a perpetual spambot season... |

I would argue that flaming is fun to watch if
A. It is all in good fun
and B. doesn’t use "naughty" language.
Spam can be annoying, this site is pretty good.
But I have been on some sites where teh post wil look like this.
Poster 1: "I think that NAFTA is a bad idea because it..goes on to make a
1,000 word post about why in their opinion NAFTA is bad.
Then
Poster 2 says "I agree’
Poster 3 says "LOL JK"
Poster 4 says "You stnik!!
Poster 5 says "I like bagels"
Poster 6 (btw this would be me) "Get back on topic you ADHD MORONS!!!"
Poster 7 "I like ADD"
Poster 8 "wats NFATA?"
Poster 5 says "isn’t it a bagel?"
Poster 2 "yeah a bluebeery bagel"
Sops says "These DC’s stink, since when do bagels have teh keyword "enduring"?"
I say "doofus wrong board"
Poster 8 says "wats a DC?"
SOP posts "srry I had 382 tabs open in mozilla and got confused"
Now if you can read the above dialog and not laugh kudos to you. |

it is sorta based on a board for a book called "Dragon’s in our midst"
It basically is a fictionalized view of how people really do post stuff on that site.
Unlike your debate site, the people are pretty straight laced, to teh point of having a 1,339 post discussion on modesty.....
