I did not mean to come across as sexist, but I apologize if I did.

if you think men are better dicision makers than woman, look at bush and try to say that he is a better dicision maker than a woman.

Okay. He is.

What has Bush done that is so bad? He has made his share of mistakes, but do you blame the economical and political state of America on him? Who are you comparing him to? Clinton? I’d rather have a President who spends money on a war worth fighting than a President who can’t even be loyal to his wife, let alone his country.

DON’T start this debate. The abortion one is going, and if we get going with the war, I’ll probably have to have my say in that, too! And I’d rather not.

Point is, IN GENERAL women act more on whims than men. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t vote for a woman president, but I’d have to know how good her decision making skills are. Which I’d try to do about any male candidate either.

For me, its really up to the beliefs of the candidate.

Oh, I so wanna jump this one and argue it..... Laughing
I won’t though. I’m terrible at debating via forum, and I’ll have pity on elf lvr.

Just for clarification though, not as an argument, when you say "take the troops out" which do you mean:

All US troops in Iraq (I’m guessing it’s this one, but....)
All US troops in Afghanistan
All US troops in both Iraq and Afghanistan
All NATO troops in Iraq
All NATO troops in Afghanistan
All NATO troops in both Iraq and Afghanistan
All US troops somewhere else
All NATO troops somewhere else

How about we pull out of California? Or the whole west coast?

Seriously, their political and religious system is to difficult for an American to comprehend. I don’t think they even know how to comprehend it. To eat pork and offend a Muslim, or to eat beef and offend a Hindu, or to eat some other meat and offend PETA?

Now why don’t we belong in the Mid East? To be frank I’m insulted. We’re beating the crud out of the terrorists and their stupid jihad. When the United States was attacked 66 years ago at Pearl Harbor there was public outcry at the country that sovereignty. Six years ago foreigners with a dream of empire killed without a declaration of war 2,388 citizens and men in uniform of the United States of America. It was much the same seven years ago when 19 Mid-Eastern terrorists murdered 2,974 American citizens and took their own lives in the process. Yet the mainstream media is quite against the war and headlines of war reporters often read things like ’Road-side bomb kills 17 U.S. Marines’ -etc... This war is not evil. It is not a war of conquest, it is a war of liberation to those whose country is virtually run by the Taliban.
These terrorists are supported greatly by the different Mid-Eastern countries: Iran, Afghanistan and, formerly Iraq. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran said that wished to travel to Ground Zero and lay a wreath... ...for the 19 hijackers. This is same man who has been praised by liberals and anti-war media as a ’peaceful man’. This is same man who’s nuclear program has been called ’harmless’ by the media. Whatever the traitorous media says to denounce this war, however they try to convince us that the war is evil and that the situation is hopeless; they are wrong, we are winning, and we will win!

Very well stated. Applause

After all, if we would have pulled the "Democratic Attitude Toward War" after Pearl Harbor, we would be speaking German or Japanese now. Razz

we went into iraq to find weapons of mass destruction which we didn’t find. we "liberated" the people, but we don’t belong there keeping the country stable!

for crying out loud, all you christians should know that there will never be a lasting peace in the middle east!

we need to start pulling troops, or we’ll be there forever. i have WAY too many friends in iraq. WAY too many.

the war may have been started for good reasons, but it has become a quagmire we need to get out, we need a plan, which I why I liked brownback, but we need to get out.

speaking of which, here is a funny version of the ultimate showdown I found

Old W. Bush was hopping around
Houston, Texas like a big playground
When suddenly Tony Blair burst from a plane
And slapped George Bush and started to complain
Well, Bush got pissed and ordered an attack
But didn’t expect to be vetoed by Chirac
Who began to use his Chirac voodoo
When out of the blue came Pak Pong Ju

And he started beating up Jacques Chirac
Then they both got hit by a car bomb from Iraq
But before it could make it back to Osama’s cave
Abraham Lincoln popped out of his grave
And took a vote of no confidence out from under hat
And took Tony Blair’s power away, just like that
But he was short on support and he ran away
Because Vladimir Putin came to save the day

This is the Ultimate Showdown of Political Leaders
Presidents, dictators, and war crimes in quagmires overseas
And only one will survive I wonder who it will be
This is the Ultimate Showdown of Political Leaders

George Bush usurped Vladimir Putin
Like Joseph Stalin usurped Lenin
And then Chirac came back covered in the car bomb’s tracks
But Abdullah jumped out and led massive attacks
And Tony Blair saw Pol Pot, and tried to get ready
When Abraham Lincoln came back with Kikwete
But suddenly something hit him from across
Cardinal Bertone took him out with his cross

Then he saw Bush sitting on a phone line
And he reached for his cross which he just couldn’t find
’cause Tony Blair stole it and he swung and he missed
And Abdullah blocked it with an anarchist
Then he skipped through a field and did a flip
While Abraham Lincoln’s plane made a dip
Into Putin’s path, and had a midair collision
Then both their countries had political divisions

This is the Ultimate Showdown of Political Leaders
Presidents, dictators, and war crimes in quagmires overseas
And only one will survive I wonder who it will be
This is the Ultimate Showdown of Political Leaders

The Vatican City Choir sang out to the world
Down from the heavens descended King Harald
Who made a proclamation written in stone
And he smashed it against Cardinal Bertone
Who fell to the ground, and cowered like a weakling
As Blair changed back into Song Qingling
But Harald saw through this clever disguise
And from this, Qingling met her demise

Then Pedro Pires and Hu Jintao and
Laurent Gbagbo and Chairman Mao and
Sellapan Ramanathan
Omar Bongo and Shui-bian
Queen Elizabeth, Karzai, Kabila and Heinz Fischer
Moshe Katsav, Miller, Néstor Kirchner
Roh Moo Hyun and Han Myung-Sook
Tong, Henri and Singye Wangchuck
All came out of nowhere lightning fast
And they kicked King Harald in his Norwegian ass
It was the most childish thing the world had ever seen
From the fighters eyes hatred seemed to gleam

And the war raged on for centuries
Death came swiftly to leaders’ enemies
But a champion stood, the fight was thorough
Karl Marx with a bloody Manifesto

This is the Ultimate Showdown of Political Leaders
Presidents, dictators, and war crimes in quagmires overseas
And only one will survive I wonder who it will be
This is the Ultimate Showdown...
This is the Ultimate Showdown...
This is the Ultimate Showdown... of Political Leaders.

Get out of Iraq? Heck, we still have troops in Germany and Japan left over from WW2. Good luck.
And while I agree that the Iraqis should be pulling more of their own weight at this point, they’re not....

And we didn’t find the weapons themselves, but we did find the weapons labs and Iraqi government documents showing that the WMDs got shipped off to Syria at the last minute so that we wouldn’t find them.
