By all the signs the cops were restless and nervous. excellent. toying with them is great amusement.
Following my failed attempt on mm’s life i was looking forward to my kill at last. This time i would not fail.
Reconiassance is the key to a good murder, so it can go without a hitch. As i skirted the surburban property i went to raise myself up on a pile of bricks to see if could identify Officer Palantir through the window. As i placed my foot on the first brick it moved!
In a flash Officer Barden burst out of his camoflage hiding place and wrestled with me. each trying to reach our weapons. I could not quite grasp the handle of my knife, nor reach my sword. But at the same time Barden couldnt get his 9mm out. surprised by his strength the struggle grew ever more desperate as his shouts had attracted Officer Korn. taking advantage of a tiny window of opportunity afforded to me my Barden’s quick glance towards korn i struck him with the side of my hand on his neck and stunned him.
to add to my annoyance my lucky chain broke off on his kevlar vest as i rolled away to escape. There was no time to go back. korn raised his firearm and let fly narrowly missing my shoulder by inches as i dived over the fence and made my getaway.
As officer Korn helped Barden to his feet, he removed what look like a pendant on a chain from his partner’s vest. It seemed to be an "n" shape though it slid around so it might have been a "u" or a "c" shape. it was filed under evidence in the ongoing investigation.
They also discovered in the back garden a subscription receipt for a magazine called "A Rational Employer" with the initals R.P.G. though the relevance of this was unknown it was still logged.
As i recovered my strength and breath i reflected on another opportunity i had let slip through my grasp. my patience was limited. someone WAS going to die. My sword wanted blood.
Enough of the mistakes, the cops will not know what hit them next time. Its been far too simple up til now. time to raise the stakes. can the cops see my bet? time will tell. |

Perfect. the cops were stumbling around blindly. officers Troll and Barden were on their last warning from the DA for wrongful arrests and causing media attention.At midnight
It was even more funny to see them completely fail to unwrap my last clue and had barely attemtped to work it out. do they think i am that foolish? well it will be their own downfall they are creating.i will be
having had all weekend to pick and plan the murder of my next target, the police were nervous. you could feel it in the air.murdering officers
As i breezed past the local precinct i dropped a letter through the door. ’Have fun’ i thought. I know i will.Hippo and Troll.
It was early in the morning when the shifts changed, Officer Palantir was going home and Korn was replacing him, when the letter was discovered. It was handed straight to forensics but naturally there was no evidence anywhere on it. The envelope contained a single sheet of paper:You do not
Dear Cops. I hope this letter finds you all well. Wont keep you long i need to murder somebody as i am angry. To stop me you will have to search high and low for clues. In dark and light. i will not be sending another letter. This is your last chance. Read all this text well.have enough time
P.s. Eight. to reach them both.
