And I’m confused, because I don’t remember saying "We have less than 24 hours."

My hypothesis... Incognito has made a clone of me!

lol, sorry. Had to make a little joke. The new recruit has no information at this time, but will keep his eyes open!

When I came to Abraham I let him live just a moment longer. When I came to Moses I saved his life more than once. But the salmon... I regret to say I had a hand in its death.

Who am I?

Nice job, I think lem0n’s right. Being that that’s my location on CC...

(And yes, I do like Hitchcock)

Yeah, I bet Lem0n’s right.

Of course, by the same token, the red-herring logic could work on the hidden text, too.

On the off chance, I’m placing menace under protection, because he’s the one with "writing" posted, though I see no connection with any "Sir Alfred," Hitchcock or not.
Never kid about politicians. The more bizarre the joke, the more likely it is to come true.

Lem0n deciphered the clue and protected my victim-to-be, CarpeGuitarrem. The clues led to his location (Franciscan University of Steubenville), as well as the fact that he authored the article “Dial T for Tentacle,” the title being nearly identical to Hitchcock’s film “Dial M for Murder.” I tip my hat to you, Lem0n.

That does not quench my thirst for killing, though. My next victim, unless you can save him, will be dead before tomorrow evening.

Cathy Droll will help you. Save my victim, if you can. It will be hard to find him.

Yours truly,
Incognito

"Cathy Droll" is a teacher at "Montessori Education Centre" in Arizona.
We have anyone from Arizona on here?

from what he said, it is probably some obscure person...oh wait I’m not a cop...

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. Razz

Alright, here’s the two AZ people I could find by looking through the members list:

gandalf90
mrxmccord

It’s likely enough, though, that it has nothing to do with being located in AZ.

Ah, heck. I protect gandalf90.

Well, to be honest, I doubt the victim would be that obscure. Hard to find, could simply mean, well, hard to find. As in, difficult clue. Which it looks like this is.

Is an obscure teacher really the answer to this clue?

I ran "Cathy Droll" through an anagram solver. Here’s the results:

Quote:
archly dolt
archly told
chad trolly
chart dolly
chat drolly
chat lordly
choltry dal
choltry lad

I hope you can make more sense of it than me.

With three word results, it’s fair to note these:
all doth cry
call dry hot/call hot dry
carl thy old
coldly hart
coldly rath
... too many results. I doubt they mean anything.

Although we do know bunnydaman is not the victim, Incog referred to a "him." Laughing

"Cathy Droll" is also awfully close to "Cathedral," as I found out when I plugged it in to an encyclopedia at dictionary.com.

Here’s another random bit of google resultage from Cathy Droll:

Quote:
The female category winner was Joe Belyk of Saskatoon, Washington State’s Cathy Droll took 1987 with at time that qualified her for the Olympic trials ...

So, neither of the possible identities of Cathy Droll that we’ve come up with seem to fit. And we’ve only got till tomorrow to do anything.

Well, maybe it’ll make more sense tomorrow. I’ve gotta get going to sleep now...

Oh, and by the way, I burned that police uniform. Can never be too careful.

Besides, I never liked uniforms. I was an assassin once, too!

Which reminds me, we also need to be looking for clues as to who Incognito is. Perhaps Cathy Droll will help us there, too. Incog would need to be a person who, heck, knew anything about them at all!

Also, he keeps planting stuff on us. Simple mystique, or maybe he was a cop once, too? Or is a cop right now?

Ok i think el has been quite astute with the sounding like Cathedral thing. This is what you get from cathedral.

Im not sure how any of those are relevant to the victim, maybe theyve said they like that rock band or something.

From el’s list i dont think its an anagram or just a name as the assassin would know its too easy to just google a name that he has given to use so im sure it will be related to the big church style thing.

Problem is i dont know why.

I protect AC.
