oh and hippo thinks "hope after" is a clue to our murderer... substitute incognito for that and you get

Merrick_Hale walked out his house and locked the front door behind him. Opening his car door, he climbed in and turned the igniti- BOOM! His car erupted in a mushroom cloud of dark smoke and flames. The police arrived on the scene within an hour, and they found another letter left by the serial killer. This time, it was tied around Merrick_Hale’s doorknob with a garrote.
You failed to decipher my clues. Do you remember the riddle I left you?

Four-hundred and one, and a dozen more times: I called to you-

The first letter of each word in the first two lines spells “Rhinehart,” Merrick_Hale’s last name. In the last two lines, four words are capitalized. By taking the first letter from each of those words, you get “FIVE.” Merrick_Hale was the fifth Incognito. Also, the third line contains the phrase “Four-hundred and one, and a dozen more times”- this is four-hundred and thirteen, or 413. Merrick_Hale’s join date is April 13th.
My next victim will be dead by this time tomorrow.

Darn it, that was a much better clue and we all still fumbled it. And double darn el’s arrest of menace was wrong? Argh!
I too think it is AP Hippo, as i have for a bit now but hes a mod which is unusual if not unallowed in the game. So im not sure whether to arrest or not. Ill give the clue a try first.

These rhyme things are so like menace its untrue. I was SURE it was him. I hope its not yet ANOTHER schizophrenic assassin im getting tired of them.
I thought this was pythagoras theory of right angled triangles. a squared + b squared = c squared but that gives, c, the hypoteneuse, as 3064.718584144391. Is the number 3064 or 3065 significant? 3 64 and 3 65 are orc commander and overseer so i think ive messed up and on totally the wrong track.
2700-1450 is 1250 and 12 50 is from Black Rider - Guardian, which also doesnt help!
Finally my last thought was thrice before delta, assuming delta is the 4th letter in the greek alphabet then three before it is alpha (a), but for a third time that doesnt help! Maybe a greek beginning with A? What the hell ill protect Apopatos because im useless.

Conor Brace sat quietly eating dinner with his wife in a local restaurant. Without warning, a masked figure entered the dining area, pulled out a gun, and shot both of them, then walked out through the back door. A few people dining in the restaurant ran outside to pursue him, but he was gone. The cops found another letter left on Mr. Brace’s table…

The first line indicates the Greek language. Linear B was an early Greek writing system. Linear B was descended from Linear A, which originated from the Minoans, whose culture flourished from 2700 to 1450 B.C. In the Greek alphabet, the first four letters are alpha, beta, gamma, and delta. “Thrice before delta” indicates alpha. The second line also says “in more ways than one,” referring to my victim, Conor Brace. Not only was he the “alpha” of the site, as its founder and first member, but also the Administrator; the alpha, if you will, of all of Cobra Cards.
