You people just have no appreciation for awesome dudes...Beowulf owns a monster with his BARE HANDS (by ripping the thing’s arm off, with brute strength), goes on to kill the monster’s mother, and then helps to slay a dragon...dude, you don’t get any more epic than that. Not even one of the 300 Spartans. |

Leonidas owns all. And if I’m not mistaken, he actually existed. |

So did Beowulf. He’s also called Bodvar (or Bothvar, depending on translation) and he helped purge the Danes of some sort of grendel/bear/something problem. In the poem Beowulf, it’s a demon. It Hrolf-Krakissaga it’s like some sorta werewolf or something. Other records suggest some sorta connection with a bear. (some people claim Grendel was a dinosaur, but that’s based on a terrible mistranslation and overly-literal acceptance of what is clearly a divergent legend) We don’t know alot about him, but he WAS real. And he single-handedly beat the snot of of monsters and armies of swedes. Leonidas needed 299 other people with him to help. Beowulf has a much more impressive ratio of Hero to enemies.

| Never kid about politicians. The more bizarre the joke, the more likely it is to come true. |

Leonidas and those 299 faced the entire Persian Nation, and I must say it was a pretty impressive force back in the day. Beowulf fought an army of how many? |

Not to diminish Leonidas’ glory, but he actually fought with 300 Spartans, 700 Thespians, 400 Thebans, and 900 Helots. So the movie should be called 2300. |

Leonidas was with those guys, but in the end it was only his 300 that sacrificed their lives while the others retreated. Even though there were alot of guys, they still faced a hella lot more enemies than Beowulf. Also Beowulf’s movie was much worse than Leonidas’. |

I can’t say anything else if I hadn’t sneakily added Leonidas I would be voting Beowulf . Since Leonidas was added and noone seemed to care or argue the point I will stick him. For Sparta!!!! |
