Or hosts of certain DC contests, perhaps.... Think

Any articles written in a Jeopardy style? My spidey senses are telling me there was one a long while back, but I can’t recall what it was about or who might have written it.

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

I protect dainironfoot. I will be pretty busy the next 2 days, and might as well throw it out there.

my spammer sense tells me it is him, so worth a try.

Come to think of it, this may or may not be significant: I’m going to try to find out what type of books were nabbed...

Fiction? Non-fiction?
Zombie stories? Sci-Fi?
Algebra Texts? Spy novels?

..any answers for me, Incog?

Any type of book you’d like, AgentD. Any type at all.

Dang.

Was worth a try, though. Thought it might have some connection to an ID clue or the victim. Oh well. Laughing

And as the cops deduced the clues, one by one, they realized who my victim was and saved him.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These words, I am afraid, are ones that I will not be able to truthfully type. I will tell you this, though: a very similar principle is used in this clue as was used in the last clue. Remember Grand Theft Auto? AgentD is on the right track with Trebek. How do the two identities in my clue link to him? What is missing, as was missing with GTA?

And what about those books?

Adsum is a rare word that means "I am present". So we’re looking for someone with a pretty good vocab i reckon.

Still no closer to solving those 2 ID clues. Been googling for hours and no closer.

Ive had to write the 2 people off, and im trying to work on the line of letters. If its not a caesar cypher what the heck can it be? Do you think there is a word or something hidden inside the line where you have to read every 3rd letter or something?

Just noticed... Incog used the word "shoppe" not "shop."

Don’t think it’s a hidden word... at least, not like that. There’s only one vowel in the whole string.

Still looking.

EDIT: Just found this.

Two variants of "Jeopardy!" have run concurrently with the Alex Trebek version. "Jep!," hosted by Bob Bergen, a version with children as contestants, ran briefly in syndication in 1998. "Rock and Roll Jeopardy!," with host Jeff Probst, is a rock ’n’ roll-themed version that has aired on the VH1 cable channel since 1998.

More edit:
B. Bergen isn’t one of the two identites, though.
According to Wikipedia "Bob Bergen (born March 8, 1964 in St. Louis, Missouri)"
And Probst isn’t one of the two, either:
Wikipedia: "Probst was born in Wichita, Kansas, but grew up primarily in Bellevue, Washington"

So we have:
Alex Trebek
Bob Bergen
Jeff Probst

...nope. doesn’t seem to help. Sorta odd that here’s only two letters, though.
