Yay! We did something right! Much better clue Incog! Nice one.

The assassin has pm-ed me this: You correctly protected Dáin Ironfoot. I will be gone for a time, but I will be back. You can count on that.

Does anyone know who is leaving for a while?

Cheers

I also got a rather friendly PM from Incog yesterday asking about the difficulty of clues. Looks like even HE knows last Friday’s spree was a bit over the top. I’ve gone from loathing this guy to respecting him, at least. Hopefully I conveyed that in my reply.

All that said, after a little time to celebrate, let’s put our heads together during this pending down time and see if we can figure out who this guy is. I’ll be going back and looking at his victims and clues and seeing what I can come up with.

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

I never got any PM.... Sad

Maybe Incog thinks me beneath his notice. That might be a good thing. Laughing

Nah. As he said, he only PMed me because I was the only cop online at the time.

But yes, it would be good if perhaps our best detective flew under the radar. Thumbs Up

except he can’t arrest anyone. so we have 2 more arrest before someone gets kicked off. I am currently thinking NB again. but it really could be almost anyone.

my question is still, who doesn’t like lost heir?

Not got a clue. When he was really active and participating in DC’s no one appeared to have any beef with him. Very strange. And why kill someone who has not been active for months?

Ok dont know what adsum is.

The numbers mean:

host 1984

sudbury

ontario

No idea who the identities are.

Guessing the letters are the classic each relates to another letter fo the alphabet but its not 1 letter up or down. Will take time.

Nope; It’s not a Caeasar cipher. Just checked all the possibilities.

I did, however, locate THIS:
TV.com wrote:
Birth Name
Giorgi Suka-Alex Trebek

Height
5’ 8" (1.73 m)

Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, Trebek graduated from the University of Ottawa with a degree in Philosophy. After his first decision to become a newscaster, he joined the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company), Canada’s premier network in 1961. As he was working, he helped organize national news and covered a variety of special events for CBC’s radio and television divisions, receiving high praise as a broadcaster who retained his poise and composure in the toughest places. Then, in 1966, he became a Canadian game show host on "Reach for the Top" (1965), and stayed there for the first seven years until he migrated to the United States to host his very first game show in that country, "The Wizard of Odds" (1973), for NBC.

Prior to being selected as the host of "Jeopardy!" (1984), for syndication, he came back to NBC and hosted the revamped version of "Classic Concentration" (1987), which was also his second hit in his almost 30 year career. On this show, he received 4 Emmy nominations, but didn’t win. It was cancelled in 1991, when the network stopped making game show for daytime TV.

On May 17, 2002, "Jeopardy!" (1984) celebrated a milestone, the show celebrated its 4000th episode and at the same time, it received another Daytime Emmy for "Outstanding Game Show/Audience Participation", making it its 21st Emmy. Like Bob Barker, Alex Trebek had broken the world record as host of TV’s #1 quiz show in the country, and he won 2 Emmy Awards and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and, this year, was described as one of the Top 10 Canadians on U.S. Television. Today, as Alex began his 19th year as the host, he remains as popular as any other quizmaster.

EDIT: I’m guessing, then, that the two identities who "wanted to be in their own version" are other game show hosts, maybe even other Jeopardy hosts....
