Just what it sounds. You don’t eat for 30 Hours, to see a little bit of what starvation is like. It’s a movement to help raise awareness about starving people in other countries. I’m not sure how donations are involved...

God didn’t write a word of the bible... he just influenced those that did.

He did give them inspiration to write what they did but he did allow their individual styles to come through. Also the original writings of the books of the Bible are 100% accurate. But the copies we have will be inperfect because they were translated by imperfect people.
Whenever you translate something some of the meaning and accuracy will be slightly affected.

I may have heard of something like the 30 hour famine. Interesting idea.

The Da Vinci Code is just another attempt to debunk Christianity. This has been going on since satan tempted Eve in the garden and it will not be the last attempt by those who deny God and want to live their life in sin. God gave men a free will to accept Him or reject Him. The big issue with the world is they know there is a God, but they think if they thumb their nose at Him and make and worship the own god (money, sex, job, rock star, car, etc., etc., etc.) He will go away. The problem is He will leave them to their own devices, but the day will come when they have to stand before Him and answer for their life. God sent Jesus to die for all of our (TheWhole World) sins (JOHN 3:16). He has the free gift of forgiveness and eternal life for each fo us. All we need to do to receive it is to repent of our sins, ask for forgiveness, accept Him as our Lord and Savior and we become new creatures in Christ (Born Again). Books like the Da Vinci Code as far as I’m concerned give me an opportunity to share Jesus with others. Very Happy

In the 30 Hour Famine, you get about a 2 months’ notice and you raise money to feed starving kids, you go without food for 30 hours, etc., play games, prank each other Cool (wish me luck) etc....
I had to put something here.

I didn’t think the Da Vinchi code was really intended to be true. I think the real purpose was more thought provoking. Like, seriously, what if?

Could we please not get too religious here? It might lead to thinking, and we all know that’s not good Wink

It causes students to get good grades and want to study for Calc C AP exams, which we all know is a pain.
