Thinking! We could use more of that and more reading would be a novel idea also and some praying couldn’t hurt either. |

Well I have to respond to this.
The Bible is completely true for evidence just look at some of the prophesy’s about Jesus birth what you said about the da vinci code si right Cobra siad that it has enough of the words of the bible to make people think that it is all true but melding truth and untruth is a lot like Llama spt(maybe) it is unwante, disgusting and in your face. I tis like somone rewrote a history of WWII with just enough truth to make it seem like the whole thing was real.
The Da Vinci code is worthless.
sincerely,

That’s like me saying I found the biggest creature in a card game ever! Look, it’s bigger than these other three, therefore it’s the biggest.
As I said I don’t doubt SOME of the bible is true. I just don’t think that every word is precisely accurate. I’m sure some were recorded by imperfect people, made from secondhand testimony, or even copied wrong.
You can’t generalize and say the whole thing is true because parts of it are. It just doesn’t make sense.
As for the Da Vinci code, I’m not syaing any of the important stuff was true, I’m just saying some of it is. And it was at the very least entertaining, kind of like the same trading cards that those who don’t play would consider "worthless". |

I agree with you on this one La_Sin_Grail.
As I said before any time you translate something some of the meaning will be lost.
The orignal writers and text were in my opion perfect and true but when they were copied and translated there may be some falsehoods.
However I think that the things that aren’t true do not have much to bear on the Christian faith.
After all in a location is mentioned incorrectly it doesn’t affect the overall meaning of that book or passage IMHO.
This is also my 100th post . |

I think we’re getting to the heart of the matter.
The Bible being part false won’t change the christian FAITH- nothing will change faith; the whole bible doesn’t have to be true to still convey the same meaning. |

Anything that The Da Vinci Code says about Jesus and Mary Magdalene being married is ridiculous. The Da Vinci Code is a bunch of facts regarding the history of France, etc., then Brown takes a bunch of bull and throws it in with the rest, trying to trick the reader into believing that it is true. |

| That’s exactly what I’m saying. "none of the important stuff is". It’s a what if novel, not a true one. |
