| I heard that PJ is producing, then I read it was confirmed that he was directing, then I read that they were doing 3D, then I read that they weren’t doing 3D but PJ was still directing. Don’t know what to believe, but I hope that it ends up with PJ directing. |

Ditto, though so far I’ve seen nothing confirmed about him directing. Hope it happens, for sure, as I think it would be a shame if he didn’t. Worst case, at least with him producing you know he’ll have a hand in it.
Now the only bad part is we have to go from waiting to see if it will happen to a whole new type of anxiety...waiting for release! |
Best regards, Dáin, Vice Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones
Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Nothing beats the anxiety of waiting in line for Trilogy Tuesday to watch the FOTR / TT extended versions, followed by the midnight premiere of ROTK.

It’s confirmed, all those links I’ve seen so far are positives. PJ won’t be directing, because he doesn’t have the time, but he’ll be the executive producer. |

Irony...why do I want someone to direct who can’t make time for it?

Now this is interesting:
NYT article about The Hobbit
Apparently, movie 1 will be "The Hobbit" proper, and Movie 2 will be a bridge between Hobbit and LotR. Wonder if they’ll be marketed as part of LotR or as related but not part...
Maybe something like
The Lord of the Rings: The Hobbit
The Lord of the Rings: The White Council
Or maybe Revenge of the Si... er, I mean Necromancer
Then again, that whole thing about move1 is hobbit, movie 2 is bridge could likely enough just some reporter misconstruing some vague comment....
I still want a Children of Hurin movie. |
| Never kid about politicians. The more bizarre the joke, the more likely it is to come true. |

That would be awesome. Too bad they don’t make a Silmarillion / Húrin / Unfinished Tales and then follow it up with The Hobbit. |
| I had to put something here. |

Hopefully this wasn’t the same person who said "I haven’t actually read the books, and I’m not familiar with any of Mr. Tolkiens works, but I’m sure it’s going to be great!"

Most of the people I know have not even touched the books, let alone own them before watching the movies.
I think it’s much better to have all the story in your head, that way it’s possible to point out during the movie and tell everyone where Hollywood had messed up. |
My Trading List
Popcorn is not gooey like fat, and also not crunchy like potato chips, but crispy like lettuce which makes it a healthy snack. |
