There are two reasons for the war in Iraq: oil and Bush’s desire to finish what daddy started. Don’t believe all of the bull they’ve dished out about freeing the people or weapons of mass destruction. That’s all lies.
This kind of liberal crap makes me sick. You, and a million other people
like you believe yourselves to be experts on the war on terror. We were attacked by ruthless Shi’ite fanatics. Shi’ites are muslims that advocate and follow Muhammad’s teachings; most notably جهاد or jihad. Jihad is pretty much a translation for ’holy war’ the belief that all infidels or non-believers that do not convert to إسلام or Islam should die. In the words of the 9th book and 5th verse of the Qu’ran: Slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. Islam translates to submission and means submission to Allah. In the words of the the 2nd book and 279th verse of the Qu’ran: But if you do (it) not, then be apprised of war from Allah and His Apostle; and if you repent, then you shall have your capital; neither shall you make (the debtor) suffer loss, nor shall you be made to suffer loss. Have you read the Qu’ran? I have. Have you read the Bible? I have. Only by understanding the religious situation can we understand the politics of the Mid-East.
There are many other nations in the world that are held over by ruthless dictators, many of which are much much worse than Saddam Hussein. Why isn’t the Bush administration going after them? The answer: no oil. There’s no profit to be had in those nations.
That’s a sad little question. America is not looking for profit in this war on terror, there is plenty of oil in South America, in fact Hugo Chavez, the Communist dictator of Venezuela, is president of Citgo Petroleum Corporation. America is simply defending itself against those who would see it destroyed.
And any americans who speak against America defending itself can leave the country.
There were absolutely no weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq. None. Bush’s administration tries to say that they must have been moved or destroyed. These are just lame excuses.
There may not be weapons of mass destruction in Iraq however there are suicide bomber training camps and Jihadist training programs.
It makes me extremely angry, knowing that American (and British and other nationalities) soldiers are dying, all to make some rich people richer.
How dare you, ordinary citizen demean their sacrifice? How dare you insult those who are dying defending their country by saying they are dying for riches?! Do you actually believe this monstrous liberal propaganda that you spout like fact?
The War On Terror? It’s only creating more terrorists. As bobtheorc says, "Btw what is it with politicians and these "wars" on things...although the target of the war isn’t anything against which standard military tactics are effective." That’s so very true. For every terrorist you kill, 4 more rise up to take their place. The answer to this is through diplomacy, not war.
Perhaps you do not yet understand the situation in the Mid-East. Diplomacy is not the answer.
The Shi’ite Jihadism will not tolerate infidels. You can bribe them, like Jimmy Carter did with the Palestinians or you can fight them. Their religion is not of tolerance; it is of ‘Islam’ of submission, and those who do not submit shall die.
There’s so much more: the environment (going against the Kyoto agreement), human rights (which only Americans are allowed to have, and Bush’s government gets to make their own definitions of who is American and who is not), Afghanistan (started out really well, now after spending millions and millions of dollars and American lives, it is now stagnant and going downhill fast), Medicare drug failure, Katrina (horribly handled), economy (America is deeply in debt), Iran, North Korea, Syria (foreign policy? what’s that?), military (over used and over deployed)...I could go on, but who wants me to?
You have listened to about all the pessimistic liberal crap I’ve ever heard. You are correct to some extent about Bush, he lacks the backbone to finish what he started in the Mid-East. However I beg to differ about the military, defending one’s country is not a ‘misuse’ of the military.
I thought that there might be hard feelings about the comments that Lem0nhead and I made. There are some Americans (some, not all) who think that the president IS America, that verbally attacking the president is attacking America. That’s just not so. The president is not god. He is an employee of the American people. And as such, I think he should answer for his mistakes.
I do not think that the president is god. The president is the leader of America and should be respected however we disagree with him. And I assure you, he will answer to his mistakes both before God and men.
He won’t, though. No one will hold him accountable.
There you are wrong, God will hold him accountable on judgement day.
I don’t know why I’m even replying to this in the first place. I’m not going to change the mind of any person who is hard set. There will be a rebuttal to what I’ve said. Then I will have to reply to it, then on and on. I don’t want to get into a long and pointless debate. And I don’t want any hard feelings (although it seems like there already are). So I will bow out of this one and watch from the sidelines. My silence does not mean that I have changed my mind (ducking my head to avoid the bullets and shrapnel that are sure to follow ).
I pray you will at least listen to what I have said-GT

You, and a million other people

Technicallly the war with Iraq shouldn’t even be part of the war on terror as Saddam not only had no WMD’s but also had no credible link with Al’Quaeda. The terrorists arrived after the invasion because it threw the country into chaos which they exploited.
Hugo Chavez, the Communist dictator of Venezuela, is president of Citgo Petroleum Corporation.
The leadership of a country with strong links to the oil industry. Now where have I heard that before.
The Shi’ite Jihadism will not tolerate infidels. You can bribe them, like Jimmy Carter did with the Palestinians or you can fight them. Their religion is not of tolerance; it is of ‘Islam’ of submission, and those who do not submit shall die.
This is the kind of Fascist filth I have come to expect from some American’s. I know plenty of Muslims because here in Britain they have been integrated succefully into our society. Several of my close freinds are muslims. They are just as tolerant as the next person, you talk about them as if they are ferocious animals, not humans. I found your post shocking and disgusting.

What else would you have him do. You actually sound like one of those lunatics who feel a couple of nukes would solve the problem. And as for defending the country, defend it against what? Iraq was no threat to America, if you wanted to defend against a country with strong terrorist elements you would have invaded Syria or Pakistan where there are real terrorist elements unlike the imaginary ones in Iraq. |

My my, you’ve gotten rather emotionally carried away haven’t you?
I’m not talking about you’re next-door neighbors, they are probably Sunnis. I’m talking about Muslim Shi’ites. (Oh and by the way; some of those Shi’ites, suicide bombers and all might as well be ferocious animals.)
And maybe you need to be ’shocked and disgusted a bit more. |
